VW Polo seatbelt/airbag light on dash

So after replacing the alternator to day the car would have stood for a week with the battery disconnected and I wonder would this have anything to do with the seatbelt/airgaf light coming on and staying on?

When you turn the key the seatbelt/airbag light comes on with all the others and goes off with all the others as the engine starts and comes back on again.

I'll give clearing the light a go in the morning when I've got the software for the diagnostics scanner working with Windows 10 64bit.

Follow up on the fix. Got my old VAG-COM 409.1 chinese knock off code scanner working (it will work with Windows 10 60bit - run the installer in Windows 7 compatibility mode) scanned the electrical and dashboard codes and reset them and the light went off. Not sure what reset actually did it but light is now off :)

Cool, hopefully it will stay off now. If it does not then provide the error code.

It was most likely a low voltage error bringing on the airbag light.
