I am doing the 2 day Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master course I soon. I'd like to get a head and learn the material right away.

Have any of you done this course and taken the exam and can recommend how I can get cracking right away?

Is that because it's very difficult? I know the pass is 85%.

It's difficult enough I also think it's done in such a way that if you do badly in an area it delves deeper with more questions

So you're saying the best prep for me is the scrum guide? It's only 16 pages. Is it mostly driven by professional scrum experience? My course is next week and I was hoping to take the exam before the end of this year.

When I did the exam for Scrum MAster was open book.
Certified Product Owner is just the course and no exam....at least it was when I did it!

Yes no experience for scrum and I self studied

I've a lot of project management experience though

Where are you doing the course?
Fairly sure there are a couple from sample exams onlibe

If it's a scrum.org exam (as opposed to scrum alliance), then you pay for, and take, the exam on the scrum.org site. When you pay for it, they email you a password. Just use that to start the exam any time you like.

I read about half of this:

But tbh you don't need to. It's a large book. I'd read the scrum guide, in detail, every line is important. Understand why they're saying each line. There's a valid, important and more importantly, an exam-questionable reason for each line. <-- drill this in.

I also did a 2 day course but I wouldn't bother with that either. It was expensive.

I'm going to doing this in the next 2 or 3 weeks

If anyone has anymore useful information or good links I'd appreciate it. In two minds as to whether or not to book one the online courses, they seem a little on the expensive side
