Does Amazon echo alexa work in ireland

Hi i just purchased an amazon echo alexa... im just wondering is anyone in ireland using one and how they set it up... i tried downloading the alexa app but its saying its not available in the irish appstore only the US appstore.... if anyone knows how or is using this device in ireland i would really appreciate the bit of…

Hi
Took delivery of Amazon Echo
Went to set up app using UK settings...
Won't let me proceed because it won't recognize my card details
Emailed apple and they said I need a UK credit card???
How did everyone else get around this
I have a Ptsb debit card
I have an I phone and an iMac

Try reading through the FAQ thread. There is a way to create an Apple UK account without a payment method.

I used a UK address and selected no payment method..It didn't work...
