I know a lot about cars. But compared to a mechanic or car enthusiast I know fuck all. It's all relative.

What's your favourite song with 'car' in the lyrics?

Chasing Cars. A friend of mine recorded a version of that song a few years ago.

How many emails do you delete everyday?

    A dozen or more.
    Generally spam.
When the title is like this I tend to delete them....Трайно възстановяване, реставрация и поддръжка на изделия от естествена и изкуствена кожа!

What anti-virus would you recommend for a pc/laptop?

Windows Defender is free with Windows. There is absolutely no reason to pay for another Antivirus software!

Have you ever had a virus?

    I have..buggers of things.

If someone asked you for a favour would you prefer to give them money to go away and not have to do it?

    No I'd do the favour.

How often do you take a bath?

    I don't...
Just as an aside....windows defender is shïte... absolutely shïte, do not use ....not on its own.
..don't have 2 internet security packages on your PC or laptop....Norton and McAfee work against each other....if you want to be kept safe, stay away from dodgy sites, be careful with your e-mail....have malwarebytes on your machine and run that in conjunction with avast, or avira, AVG free or komodo, otherwise you are leaving yourself open to all kinds of trouble.

Is IT the only business where everyone is a fckin expert?

I don't think everyone is the expert in IT, on the contrary..
But it is a real pleasure talking to a real expert in IT..

My perfect profession happens to be IT. Wanted to do it since I was in school in the 80s and ended up doing what I really enjoy. Being an IT contractor means I am also my own boss now. It really doesn't get any better career wise.

When you were in your mid-teens, had you any idea what you wanted to do in life?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,102 ✭✭✭Lavinia

I did, and practiced it for 15 years. Then recession came and got m into IT waters, second BSC degree and new career

Would you change a career like that voluntarily?

I do but it's hard to find work that you are truly happy with.

@ Lavinia, A bottle of beer and a bar of Green and Blacks butterscotch chocolate :) One of those days.

    How was your day?

It was not great, running around like a bluearsed fly and getting nowhere, only finished now.

Ever regret not doing something you know you should have but got away without doing it?

Day was busy as had loads to do at home. Managed to put up a shaving light in the bathroom without blowing up the house or breaking anything!

What do you do to calm yourself down?

I read mostly. Sometimes I drive to a very quiet place and listen to music l. Or I lie on my back in bed with my eyes closed and my hand on my belly. That last one tends to work the best for me.
