If my little brother is on I'd like to give a spot to him as he hasnt done VoG before (if we have room, obviously). he mightnt't be on or might need to go to bed... I dunno what bed times are for 12 year olds in primary school are.

(i'll vouch for him not being an annoying squeaker... if anything he is annoyingly polite and nice, and easy to slag.)

Solvable, have you any interest in doing a Sherpa run with Tyson and whoever else is on at 10pm so?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,940 ✭✭✭Tazzimus

I should still be on at 10pm if a second raid is being set up, if you need numbers for it.

    I'm good for 8 onward.

So 8:30 for the VoG run and 10pm for the next raid with Solveable?

How long do these normally take on average?

Ballpark figures from my own experience, slightly overstated

    Crotas End - 30 mins
    Vault of Glass - 45 mins - 60 mins
Kings Fall - 2 hours to 3.5 hours (harder to Sherpa on Hard Mode, very unfrogiving Raid in parts, 1 death = wipe)
Wrath of the Machine - 1.5 hours - 3 hours

Ah man, the last sherpas we ran at 335 were all sub 1hr30mins so at 400 it shouldnt be any worse than that. Do you need the sherpa training again? :pac:

Smoke breaks, tea breaks and the great Tobasco fiasco all add considerable time.

I'll be on later for VoG, easy enough on starting time.

I was thinking if you are doing challenges on Golg etc on Hard, last time I had 3 newbies, never again.

Thats true I suppose but if enough have high enough spindles it should be a breeze for golg and dropping bosses quick in general :D

Sounds interesting. I should point out that KF is my only legacy raiding experience in Destiny prior to WotM, by the time I'd started, VoG was old hat so no one went on it and I wasn't in any clans. I couldn't commit to more than say 2-2.5 hours on a school night, mind.

I've a Black Spindle, my son keeps refusing to let me infuse it. I reckon I could get it to 386 or so if he can let go one of the crappier weapons (I'm not a fan of sidearms, he loves them) at that light level.

If someone is needed for Solvable's run send me an invite. Though if it says I'm on Netflix that's not me. Anything else is myself.

Apologies for last night lads. After getting the Fibre installed I haven't had a decent connection all week. 3 evenings worth of phone calls to Eir Tech and have worked out that the Router is slowly dieing, highlighted by the fact that I can get up to 70Mb on a WiFi connection but only 8 on a wired, if the connection is stable long enough. Hopfully have the replacement delivered tomorrow so will be up for some sherpa's Friday and Saturday.

Unstable internet also means no TV (got rid of Sky), so it's been Police Academy all the way, so not all bad.

VoG is good craic alright. It is weird watching Atheon's health drop so fast during Times Vengeance.

Good a good laugh from Yakuza's young fella (9 yr old I think?) saying "Welcome back nevelator" when I was automatically revived after one of many blue orb incidents leaving him on his own during the confluxes :D

That "nice to have you back" comment was one of the funniest things that has happened in Destiny. I laughed so damn hard.
