Just went for a walk there and there is still frost on the rooftops in sheltered areas! It says on met website that it's 6 degrees in Cork but it feels a LOT colder

In case people doubt Moore park readings I'm in East cork and frost still on the ground away from sunshine. An all day frost is v rare in November and has similarities to 2010

-5 in Clonmel at 7.30am with freezing fog. Fantastic clear day now lovely to see it. Tough driving conditions this morning though.

The grass is still quite wet, lots of dew at night, nothing growing to soak up the water.

Heard nothing about the water supplies.

Still puddles in some fields from the inch of rain that fell in one day a few weeks back
Drought in the west in winter ?
    Stop it :D

    Venus

It's always Venus in the south west at teatime this time of year. I love to see it as it's like a beacon and a reminder of my whole life passing as another year bites the dust...:( :pac:

Looking at the Temperature prediction charts, some are saying that it could keep well below freezing in parts up till about 11.00 or 12.00!

-1c in Valentia, +1.8c here, almost 3c difference!

Valentia isn't particularly far from here as the crow flies, but its much more exposed and at sea, rarely if ever does Valentia ever get colder than here in Winter!
