You do realise trump is in America and can't do anything to Irish LGBT?

There are far right & fascist movements across Europe and many LGBTs especially Transgenders do a lot of their socialising online. Anyway, I know well those memes are almost always used in a transphobic context.

Do you know what happens after you become offended? Nothing.

I often have to bring my two daughters into the ladies toilets when they need to go.

In saying that, only when there's no disabled/parent bathrooms available.

I could bring them into the mens with me I suppose, but I don't really feel comfortable walking through them with the lads shaking the dew of their tulips and what not in front of a 4 and a 6year old, so I usually head for the ladies, find a stall and let them be little girls in there.

Feel free to have a word with me any time you feel like it.

When possible, it's definately better for an father to bring his children to the men's toilets. However, as a last resort I can understand bringing the children to the women's toilets.

Unfortunately this father was with the mother of the child and she was changing the nappy... the Father really didn't have an excuse to be there.

Bring two little girls into the men's toilets? Are you serious?

There are fascist left groups as bad as them all over Europe too.

I would find that more common than a man entering the ladies' bathroom.

Women entering the male toilets in a pub/nightclub..... Acceptable, hilarious

Man entering female toilets in a pub/nightclub..... Call the police. Sex maniac on the loose

You can't be serious. It's much better for Dad to accompany daughter to the Ladies than Daughter to use the Gents. What planet are you on? This is nothing abnormal. Would you rather your child's father took her in to the Gents? Honestly?

Perhaps the mother needed some help. You know, that thing that proper Dads do for their wives/partners when they have kids.

What did you find so offensive? What was actually so terribly wrong with him being there? How did it impact on your life?

You literally see nothing private in a ladies bathroom. What's the big deal?

You realise those people have as much right to feel and say whatever they want, just as trans folk do?

Being trans doesn't give any protection from others views. They have to deal with things they don't like or agree with just as we all have to.

If trans are going to get all het up over words then perhaps they need to grow a pair.

As if there was something to be seen, other than a dad probably throwing a nappy full of crap into a bin. Boo hoo hoo. Some people are getting far too uptight about something as simple as having a piss or a dump...get over it. Unisex bathrooms are grand to use, whenever I've used them.

Precisely, I know..... But any father who crosses the threshold of a woman's bathroom will inevitably get the 'daggers' from some women

Seriously though if a finding a man in the ladies loo is the worst thing to happen to you today OP you're doing well.

Do you know what happens after you become offended? Nothing.

It's not a matter of being "Offended". I've read a lot about what's happening with regards this, and 2016 was the record year for Transgender murders on record, the same year the Bathroom Bills were really pushed. People that focus on the idea of "Offended" are generally incredibly sheltered and are so used to the idea of minorities being disposable than they think oppression and violence is on the same level as them feeling annoyed about something.

So when a transgender(is this correct?) is offended, you're right, not much happens, because people don't care about people like that. But if someone is offended at a transgender person, that could end in violence or at least harassment and abuse.

Ok but what's murdering a transsexual got to do with a father helping his wife change a babies nappy?

Had a tramp give me the daggers when I brought my now 8 year old daughter into the Ladies loo a few years ago. She was whispering and tutting at the cleaning lady on the way out. The cleaner made a show of her, speaking as loud as possible "WELL WHERE DO YOU WANT HIM TO BRING HER? THERE'S PISS ALL OVER THE SEATS IN THE MENS!":pac:

I witnessed a bouncer kick a cubicle door in in a rave one night, and there's some girl sitting there pissing away. He paused for a second and bellowed 'get the fcuk out!' Wouldn't let her shut the door either. Every bloke in there bellowed with the laughter. She was that shamed that she left the club straight away.

This is a discussion about fathers (aka men) bringing their daughters into a female toilet.

Nobody mentioned transgender rights. It's unconnected to the discussion.

You added 2+2 and got 5

Yeah that's wrong too. There's really no need to treat people like that.

What do you think? Yesterday I arrived out if a toilet stall and came face to face withe a MALE... . aggghhhhh the horror. He was with his wife while she was changing her baby's nappy on the changing table. As far as I'm concerned he did not need to be there not should have been there. I did give him dirty looks so that he would know sO disapproved ;-) What do you think, should I have said something to him,

Sickens me to think of him looking at the outside of the cubicle door masturbating away with one hand, whilst helping pass the wet wipes, talc and clean nappy to the wife with the other. It shouldn't be allowed happen.
;-) ;-) I hope you saved some dirty disapproving looks for later incase the bitch of a mother started breast feeding his or her baby. Sounds like you had a rough experience hun X.

It is absolutely incredible that you're acting like one of the most targeted minorities out there somehow has "special protections", and bend over backwards for people like you that have no regards for their lives or well-being.

People's "views" shouldn't come before basic human rights. People are free to have whatever views they wish, but giving unfounded prejudice greater position in jurisprudence is the very basis for how discrimination is encoded in law. Far too many people seem to think that the right to enact conservative, fascist laws is somehow common sense and not a terrifying concept.

Non-transgender people are not a group that's vulnerable to violence on the basis of them not being transgender. You talk about "growing some balls", obviously intended in of itself to be a hateful remark towards transgenders, but you are elevating irrational feelings that are not based in fact or statistics above the safety of transgender people, as well as the large number of those who aren't easily recognisable as one gender or the other who are affected by these policies.

Trans people shouldn't have to do anything. They are not the group doing anything wrong here, and to blame them for the immense hatred and discrimination aimed at them over the last year, legal or otherwise is delusional and hateful in of itself.
