I appreciate the Mayo positivity on here but if Mayo gets selected instead of Galway I'd be legitimately shocked. Traffic is a major issue granted but if Ireland were to be successful Galway would have to factor in for an Italy-Samoa match at least. Mayo would still get a heap of hotel bookings and tourists.

Dont think it's necessarily either one or the other. Celtic Park in Derry would be a favourite to get dropped if any of them I'd say, and Nowlan in Kilkenny wouldn't be far behind. And then there's Casement, which might not get built at all. Also, going by the last few RWCs, they may not drop any stadiums. 12 has been the norm up to now, England used 13 last year. The last time fewer than 12 were used was 1995 when there were only 16 teams in the tournament.

So the Kerry match next year is now in Tralee?

Some details on what would happen if NY beat Sligo from a qualifier POV

    From the master fixture list
    17.06.2017 (Sat)
    Preliminary Round (If Required)
In the event that Nua Eabhrac defeat Sligeach in the Quarter-Final of the Connacht
Championship then Sligeach shall be drawn to play one of the other 8 counties in Round 1A
which do not qualify for a Provincial Semi-Final in a Preliminary Round qualifier. A draw shall
    be made for home advantage*.

Yes. I don't think Fitzgerald Stadium has lights.

It's on the GAA Master Fixture list and also on the Mayo GAA website.

Tralee about half an hour/40 minutes from Killarney? I think there'll be a bit of craic in Killarney anyway if people have booked there already.

The game was always down as a Saturday night game so it was always as likely to stay in Tralee as it was to move to Killarney.

Anyway they are about 30mins apart and Killarney would be better fun of a Saturday night than Tralee.

The journey is long enough without adding to it though!! Half the fun of staying is a drink or 2 before the game knowing you don't have to drive.

And how do you get home then if you're drinking before the game ;)

Looks like we are getting a new Home jersey lads. Mayo Twitter just put up a teaser. Only 2 years since the last one if I'm not mistaken?

    New jersey on the way.

Get the feeling it'll be a bit of a throwback design, the shade of red looks just a tiny bit brighter on this one.

Might be tempted from the early pic. Wasn't much of a fan of our last shirt. Looking forward to the reveal

Looks like it will be similar to the Antrim kit with the stripe across the chest.

I`m not a fan on this whole jersey commercialism where we in the GAA seem to be going down the same rip off road as soccer.

TBH I'm not too sure if I'm liking the look of it.But it is only a sneak peek.

Soccer is a different level altogether but kit releases will become more frequent in the GAA as the commercial side gets stronger. Elverys have a big say in design and the frequency of design changes. Their pockets are boosted by more frequent changes so it will probably be the way forward. The other side of it is they look after the team very very well and anything they ask for is accommodated.

I must don`t like this thin end of the wedge commercialism when I have seen the extent it has developed too in soccer and the pressure it puts on parents to buy the latest kit because young Johnie down the road has it.
The whole train looks to be thundering down the professional track where county teams are concerned which will only read to the further detriment of the clubs football and voluntary input to the clubs imo.

One thing about GAA fans of all counties is that you will see all styles going back over the years being worn with the same pride as the latest one.

    Long may this continue.

Don't think there's anything, not since Croke PArk took it over last year.

No, there was 'free' stuff as part of it in 2016 and it was part of the CP scheme this year.
