    SOME of them were, I don't disagree. Otoh, some were quite ok.
    Perhaps I should point out my experience is with Glasgow bedsits, which varied widely.
    I don't suppose Dublin bedsits would have been all that different - good and bad.

    People were not happy in fooking bedsits you polished proletariat champers socialist oaf! people had no money because they had to buy extra clothes every year cos of the damp and they were sick all the time and the places were dirty damp places, people could not move cecause the Garda or judge landlords were never going to let them have their deposits back and would throw people on the street if they didn't tow the line!
