    I would have gotten lost.

    Looks like it was fairly downhill. I cycled from Amsterdam to some where in Belgium a couple of years ago. 200km with 200m of climbing. Flattest ride I've ever done.

    Maybe, but there was still the small matter of the winds that caused the cancellation of the event. Not for the faint hearted ( meaning not for me :) )

    208km in 6 hours, if there were strong winds, suggests it wasn't a headwind for him to get home.

    With a proper tailwind anyone can do it ;) I'm pretty sure he may have done it with a headwind, good resistance training after all ;)

    Mind I had a massive tailwind all the way - it was super fun to fly at 35kph for hours, but not a lifetime achievement or anything like that ;)

    Interesting route! 200k...mostly downhill and yet the starting point is -40 meters below sea level?

    So a world champion professional cyclist cycles 207k mainly flattish/downhill and it's considered to be some sort of achievement? Slow news day at road.cc

    Now if it was 607k, it would merit a mention! :P
