    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Likely one of the cleanest Lexus IS250s out there. Body is in perfect condition.

Will be sad to see it go. The nicest car I've ever owned with one of the smoothest drives going. Lots of power (208HP) on tap when needed. Surprisingly easy on petrol for a 2.5 V6. During Summer months it has no problem averaging 40 MPG on motorway runs.

Only selling because I'm relocating to Australia.

PM with any questions. See advert for further details.

    Am considering buying this:

    REXING V1

I'm not tech savvy but it appears to be more than adequate. Your comments are welcome, thanks.

Check if it loop records , that is repeated recording deleting the oldest .

Otherwise not worth a tenner . The battery is not great , but this would need to be wired direct anyway

I got this dash cam as a cheapo for my partners car but turns out its better than mine, although mine is Nextbase 402G (Xmass present from Halfords) i personally think the quality of this Gearbest dash cam out performs the 402g. The only place where it lacks is at night but otherwise perfect for under €18.
Here is link to it and also link to video between the 2 dash cams

Has anyone used a battery pack for their dashcam to enable park mode? I'd like my DDPAI to stay running when the car is off and parked up but can't find a pack for this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I can't attest to the quality and am posting this based on the apparent price savings only. Might be good for anyone looking for a good deal:

Again - I have no experience of this camera, so do your own research :)

For people with the DDPai is it recording all the time or only when you press the remote. When its running and I check my phone I dont see anything recorded footage.

I literally just had this problem, my new ddpai arrived today :) thought it wasn't recording at all, but I found out that if you click into the large video on top of the camera page, you can slide an orange tab along and it shows everything recorded in one large video.

The only time I see anything in the files is when I press the remote button and then I get a screenshot.

are you connected up to it on wifi? for me, the 4/5 times I've connected my phone to it, i've had to use the password,

the files you are seeing could be the ones that auto save onto your phone?

have you taken out the SD card and tried that in a computer to make sure it's at least writing to the SD card?

I'm old school where I like to take the sd card out, and use QuickTime on my mac to find the videos, then iMovie to edit them.

So it turns out its just the crappy Android client that is the issue. If you go to the live camera, full screen it, turn the phone on its side you can then see the progress bar. The files tab is only for snapshot photos which is completely useless as it ain't taking any video snapshots for me.

Whoever designed the app should be taken outside and shot.

Ah now that is a bit harsh, it is snowing outside, do we have to go out in that? Can we not just shoot him inside??

I got RAC dashcams for 2 cars in argos a few months ago, at first they worked perfectly on settings and the picture quality was great however recently the more expensive and bigger of the 2 started acting up and was recording intermittently, then got to the point where the screen was on it looked like it was recording but wasnt and eventually just packed up. Also the the buttons and part of the casing broke away and the memory card was impossible to get out. Wouldn't recommend this brand.

I got mine on eBay from the uk also.

It's showing just pictures for me in the file list as well but there should be an icon with 3 dots at the end of the file list and if you go into that the videos should be there?

    Fair play.
Most of the posters here usually keep the good stuff for themselves and pass on the 2nd rate stuff to their partners. :D

Do the majority of people on here that have the ddpai recommend it? Have seen a few reviews on anazon thar aren't great regarding the app feature of it and the likes? Going to get a dash cam in the next week so I'm thinking whether to get one of these of just buy one in halfords in and around €100.

Is the Pro the same as the Plus? I can only find the Plus model for sale on eBay.

I was going to ask what people thought of this Aldi Dash Cam available for €59.99 on Sunday but it looks like this DDPai M6 Plus/Pro is in a different league. Am I correct?
