    Hi
I live abroad and I planned to rent my apartment out. I already found someone who want to be my tenant and rent my apartment. I have to find a collection agent. I don't want to appoint my tenant to be a collection agent.
I try to find a letting service on the net or a real estate agent with a service of collection agent only. I don't want to pay for the other services. Do you know if this kind of company exist ? If yes do you know the fee for that ?
    Thanks for your answer.

Your tenant, iPso facto, cannot be a collection agent for a payment he is making. You can nominate a family member if you wish. There is no need for it to be a letting agent and there is no need for the collection agent to have any responsibilities other than receiving the money and discharging the tax obligations therefrom.

Thanks for your answer, but I don't have any family or any trustworthy people in Dublin. I can handle the letting by my own except for the collection agent. It seems very complicate to find a rental company for this service only.

The tenant won't be a collection agent.

That being said, if a landlord becomes non resident for tax purposes, and does not have a collection agent in place, then the tenant is obliged to retain 20% of the rent payable, and pay this over to Revenue.
