Replay showed that it was the 3rd punch that put him out, only got hit once after, Big John did really well to be fair.

He was out when he hit the deck. Not once did he try to defend. John wouldn't have known that until he saw him not defend so I'd agree that he could do no more there

Rogan already trotting out his "real deal" cliché's :D

To be fair, that's roughly how i see the Main Event going...... Eddie head down swinging and Conor being dragged off him by Big John.

Edit: Clean ground n pound from Luque. Precise. No wasted strikes.

I would lose my shït if Conor got the sub tonight. There would be mass-suicides from a load of shertards.

I think he just does that when they have plenty of air time to use up so it drags it out a bit.

No, he wasn't. He was dazed but he wasn't out, if you look back at it whenever it comes online or whatever you will see it. Big John did well there. The 3rd punch knocks him out. The legs were up to defend, Luque bypassed it and knocked him out.

It doesn't matter if he wasn't unconscious, he wasn't defending at all never mind intelligently.

Not even going to argue this. If there is one ref that knows when to stop a fight, it's Big John. I don't agree with ye but if ye think Big John made a bad call more power to ya.

Yes, because John McCarthy has never made a mistake and has definitely never had late stoppages...

Again, not going to argue with you. Really can't be bothered, don't want to get dragged into something which is going to annoy me on a great fight night.

I wouldn't say it was a bad call but with the replay I can see why the original poster would think it was a slightly slow stoppage.

The odds say it all. Eddie has every chance. But my money is on Conor.

    PREDICTION:

UFC 205 breaks the record for most shout-outs to Jesus/God post-fight.

We'll be up to 3 if Natal wins with plenty more to come.

A run in with Conor backstage at the weigh in, followed by a very small spat on Twitter.

Because Conor did his Jack Russle impression from behind a load of security yesterday, Woodley must be quaking in his boots.
