    I remember him as Napoleon Solo. Always so cool. His side kick was David McCallum as Ilyia Kuriakin I think. I have often wondered how he became a Coronation Street cast member.

    A very talented and classically handsome actor. I'm too young to remember his Man From UNCLE days but saw them on re-runs. The first thing I saw him in was Superman III.

    He was great.

    I saw an interview with him on the late late years ago. He said his manager hated him because he's accept any job that allowed him to travel to a new place :)

    I remember him as Napoleon Solo in the man from UNCLE, and more recently 'Hustle'.

    A very nice man by all accounts.
