54% of white women voted for him. I doubt they felt he was misogynist.

As Ive pointed out significantly less white women voted for him than white men and far less women of any colour voted for him than men of any colour. This was no doubt influenced by his boasting about sexually assaulting women and by claims of assault made against him by many women. Perhaps also the upcoming case in which he is accused of raping a minor with convicted child molestor Jeffrey Epstein just might have had an effect.

According to this thread though, this is the type of thing that puts 'testosterone' into certain western men.

What do you have to say to get censored around here?!

Traditionally on Boards, all you have to do is go against the "lefty" grain. I see Magmas has been banned already.

But I have to say, I havent been on Boards for about a year. Last year, it was full of popularity-seeking LON's, especially seeing as the gay marriage referendum was hot. Its refreshing to see a change in attitude.

Your comments are entirely bogus! He never boasted of assaulting women, I'm not going over that one again, I'm sure you've already heard why that's not true.

    As for your other point.....http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3914012/Troubled-woman-history-drug-use-claimed-assaulted-Donald-Trump-Jeffrey-Epstein-sex-party-age-13-FABRICATED-story.html

    Keep criticisms fair.

Can you find a better source for your bogus claim than the UKIP supporting Daily Mail please?

Its to be expected. Can you imagine if a man had never been presidents after 250 years of female presidents. And the first opportunity to vote a man in 54% still went for a woman. It would be crazy to expect an even number of men and women voting for him. But the fact so many still did tells a lot.

Sorry it is still only 54% of white female voters compared to a huge male white backing for Trump, not 54% of all female voters as you are now implying. Is Trumps habit of telling fibs to be the new norm here too?

Youre assertion that the poor turnout of white females and pathetic turnout of all females is to do with voting for a female president needs to be substantiated. Females and males tend to vote evenly for females and males no matter what the office. But feel free to substantiate your claim with other examples.

When people were asked about their intended voting reasons many female Clinton supporters cited his history of misogynist comments, bullying and abusive actions to women. It has been pointed out that most voters were voting against the other candidate rather than fortheir own in this election. With a man who holds a convicted child molester as a friend and who is accused with this 'friend' of child rape, it is easy to see what women were voting against.

The female candidate thing is crap.

Britain elected right wing Margaret Thatcher almost 40 years ago. No one cares if you're male or female.

I seriously doubt Americans are more/less misogynistic than British people.

We're all entitled to our opinion but whatever the criteria was yesterday will remain the criteria today I am sure. Spouting unsubstantiated nonsense remains equally as ridiculous as blaming the 'left' or anyone else for it.

I don't know what point your'e trying to make. It is quite clear that women voted for Trump in much less numbers than men did because of his history of misogyny. This was evident (reasons given) throughout the campaign and was evident by the actual turnout. If you still think this is "crap" then substantiate it please. We still strive for reasoned truth not fib in this country.

54% of white women voted for a supposedly misogynistic male candidate while a woman was on the same ticket. The first women ever to run. You don't find that significant? And you seriously expect there to be an even male/female split in those circumstances?

Why do I get the feeling that the longer I live, the more I am going to have to apologise for being a "White Cisgender Privileged Male".
I'm getting a bit sick of all this nonsense to be honest.

My suggestion would be to get off Social Media and read a book.

The gist of the question asked was "what does it take to get banned?". My answer was perfectly legit, and I even gave an example - Magmas, who clearly went against the grain of this thread, is now banned. He/she didnt insult anybody, he/she gave their opinion, but because it wasnt exactly fitting in with the prevailing view, that poster is now adios.

You also have a dissenting view. Most people think LON is not a nice person, and that there is no "rape culture" here in Ireland. YOU might next to be banned!

Do I think thats right, do I think its ok? No. But I'm just saying, that tends to happen on Boards. It used to happen if you werent "left" enough, now it seems to happen for merely disagreeing with the popular view of the thread.

    Lets wait and see.

I just facepalmed so hard I nearly broke my nose. Shows what a ****ing muppet she is, a shining example of the nauseating generation snowflake and their bandwagon victimhood. Patethic.

    Oh pretty boy.

Trump is a shining example of misogynistic, sexual assaulting behaviour and their bandwagon aggressors.

    Pathetic.

Agreed. You're going to see more people talking openly about these topics and telling the more extreme parts to fùck off. I think Donald Trump's win has collectively risen the testosterone of a lot of Western Men :D

Are you going to go out and sexually assault like your hero? He's a real prince isn't he. Do any of you have daughters? Is it okay for a grown man to come over and grab them by the vagina, aka to Trump who has been accused by a 12-13 year old?

I think Donald Trump's election has made women much stronger. No more Mrs. nice women, we see what we are against.

You can't expect your argument to hold any integrity if you attack her for things she did not actually do or say.

that poor young fella is probably at home bawling his eyes out, triggered to f*ck, crawling round on his hands and knees trying to find a safe space. that wan has some neck trying to misappropriate his experience of LGBT life

Maybe have a search yourself. You'll find one.

Bear in mind you used the Guardian in a Trump hatchet job.

Tit for tat and all that.

Yet he won a popular vote of a nation of around 300 million people.
It's almost like your statement is a complete load of nonsense.

I'm sure she doesn't. Or if she does, it will have been conveniently forgotten.

You use "grab by vagina" in almost every single post.
You also have a tendency to use inaccurate statements which could be easily dismissed by even a rudimentary bit of research.

Nobody could even begin to make the case that Ireland has a "rape culture" so it's moved onto a more free-form, non-linear, mashup style narrative...

To the contrary, and you know that's a lie.

Women on here have said there's a rape culture, but as usual, it's been shot down.

    MISSUS!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody is denying that your experiences happened, and that they were horrible, and that they happened to more women than just you.

    BUT........

Murders sometimes happen in Ireland. Do we have a murder "culture"?
Robberies sometimes happen in Ireland. Do we have a thieving "culture"?
People sometimes donate their organs to others, eg. Joe Brolly. Do we have an organ sharing "culture"?

The answer is obviously no, and you know it.

We DO have a GAA culture. People deliberately meet up a pre-arranged places, train, and pay to see GAA matches. They do this by the million, for generations. There's TV shows dedicated to it. Thats a GAA culture.

We DO have a drinking culture. People deliberately meet up a pre-arranged places (regularly, by the million, for generations) and pay to drink. Thats a drinking culture.

You are only serving to dilute the seriousness of what happened to you by constantly referring to it as "rape culture". Horrible as it is, being grabbed by the vagina is not rape, nobody thinks its ok, and people do not deliberately meet up with the sole intention of grabbing vaginas. At this stage, I'm beginning to think you're trolling.

Hmmm, some-one having an opinion that there is rape culture on a thread about rape culture, you think is trolling.

Do I not fit in to your narrow criteria? 'To post on this thread we must all agree that there is not rape culture! I insist'.

    That's not a discussion. That's bullying.

Ok then. Who are these like minded rapists? When and where do they meet to rape? Do they have a club or network to orgainse all this rampant raping? Is there money or prizes involved? When they dont actually rape, say they only manage to grab a vagina, do they get second prize? Is there a public acceptance, nay, appreciation of these rapists?

If you cant answer these questions, then rape culture doesnt exist. If you can, you better turn off the computer and head straight to the Guards with the info.

I see you conveniently ignored my question. Why don't you answer that one first.
What do you think about Ireland, as it stands, having one of the lowest rates of conviction for rape in the E.U.
Is there anything about our culture that is affecting this? Do you think there is anywhere to improve there as a country?
