    Wall is a huge task
Has anyone ever seen a mock up of the plans
Needs to be high and needs patrol cars to be able to drive on top of it like a road.

A completely different scenario....but I think you know that.

True. The violence and bodycount in parts of northern Mexico put ISIS to shame.

One other thing, you're one of these I noticed slipping in the "homophobic" tag when talking about Trump. Where's this coming from? Genuinely. You can say what you want about the rest of the attributes but I've never read anything of the sort about him.

Edit: And is Obama racist for the border fencing he put in place??

Can't help but think of that wall built around Jerusalem in World War Z.

His VP candidate is opposed to equal rights for the LBGT community (and other bull**** about homosexuals, like pro-conversion therapy), hence his views reflect on Trump.

Ooooh is a poor little SJW is upset the whole world doesn't think the same as them. You better find your safe space and think about trigger warnings.

It's happened folks. You are only waking up but it has happened. A genuine unstable idiot has become president of the US.

I will be asleep as you wake. But I will wake too and I will also think of the consequences and wonder is it a dream:eek:

    It's not a dream.

    It's real.

    F**k

i wonder what going on in house of card

I'm genuinely curious as to how Trump is going to handle the actual workload of the job. Not the stress... I don't think that'd concern him, more the dedication required. He's a lazy ****er by all accounts and this isn't a job where you get much sleep.

The last time the Republicans held the House, the Senate and the Whitehouse was in 1928.

And the Great Depression started in 1929.

Clinton is political poison but why are some Irish people - a cursory glance through comments on The Journal is terrifying - gleefully championing this result? This is real life. This is legitimising the racist, sexist views of millions. It's not like making Timothy Leary your drug czar, blasting Killing In The Name from each and every public building and giving the finger to the political establishment for the laugh.

Let's just MENTAL up politics. This will upset the Tumblr snowflakes bwahahaha!

Oh let the century die to violent hands...

No elected leader can solve the jobs issue that confronts western society while corporations can employ slave labour in poorer countries.
No amount of promises will get those manufacturing jobs back so democracy is an illusion that confers no real choices for the electorate.

If you mean the end of people crying and throwing hissy fits at their perceived racist and sexist opinions being challenged and criticised, then I agree.
Ha. Just yesterday weren't you saying 'The anger is genuinely soothing'

    Is it soothing now?

    #butthurtageddon
Yes, the anger is still soothing. Hysteria is unsettling however.

Trump can't do this without Congress, although he can undo some of Obama's executive actions in this regard.

He needs Congressional approval for most of his really outrageous promises, including his 'big beautiful wall'.

What's more, there already is a wall along parts of the border, and it's up to 55-feet high along some stretches. There are also fences and other physical barriers.

(They all get climbed over, or are dug under, of course)

Not saying it isnt true but i dont fancy reading through 1000's of emails

This doesn't just apply today. The Journal commenters ARE Ireland's equivalent of Trump voters.

The biggest issue with the wall proposal isn't the border control element in my opinion, but the economic viability (or lack thereof) of it. Especially considering that the number of illegal immigrants in the US has been dropping and dropping for a good decade now, down over 10% from around 12.2mn in 2007 to 10.9mn as of the start of this year - https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/federal-eye/wp/2016/01/20/u-s-illegal-immigrant-population-falls-below-11-million-continuing-nearly-decade-long-decline-report-says/

It's his VP candidate, his views reflect on those of Trump and vice versa.

Trump has also said he would sign the First Amendment Defense Act if passed by Congress. So yes, he has expressed anti-LBGT sentiments no matter how much he claims to be a friend of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,850 ✭✭✭Depp

As regards the point about migrants, sorry that doesn't compute. He seems very definite about what he wants to do to Hispanic people and there is nothing to suggest he won't go ahead and do it.

his comments were about ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS not hispanics. stop telling fibs

    Hate? What hate?

Ooooh is a poor little SJW is upset the whole world doesn't think the same as them. You better find your safe space and think about trigger warnings.

Hatred of lgbt who have been targeted by Pence before for his conversion therapy.

Hatred of Mexican's who were called rapists.

Hatred of muslims, the vast vast majority of which have done nothing to deserved being banned wholesale from the us.

Remember after brexit racists in the streets felt justified and attacks on minorities increased. I expect (but hope I am wrong) the same effect here.

Hatred of women (or more of a lack of respect here) ignoring any serious input they have based on their gender and seeing them as objects for sex.

I think the safe space might be full already from deplorables giving out about the deplorable tag. Honestly the right is becoming a caricature of the looney left saying you can't call them this, that and the other.

    Sigh

The Irish people are intelligent enough to know that most of what Trump said is BS and that he can not achieve said plans without the Two Houses , both of whom despise him

Give it two years, and his fans will turn on him. Just like those who cried and put "Yes We Can" posters all over the place 8 years ago, turned on their savior

    Besides, Hillary is a c**t

Do not be surprised if he is gone within 2 1/2 years. Either voluntary or in a box
