I hear he's going to finally ban pre-shredded cheese. He's going to make America grate again.

Damn straight it's real bitches. Ye can all suck my balls.

    Let the pussy grabbing commence.

He certainly fits into the standing social structures that men are better than women and can do what they want.

I see Trump as actually being good for women, because women will only be pushed so far before they won't take this S*it anymore.

    F#ck you Trump.

Just to say grabbing a vagina is a criminal offence, and people have recently been put in jail for six months for it.F#ck this world.

It's not understandable at all, I heard the same when bush was elected, then Obama was suppose to change the world, well surprise surprise, nothing has changed, It's all still a game of big businesses and money and Hillary be as bad, I don't get all this doom n gloom ****.

Look at the republican parties history, creating wars, introducing neoliberial/free market economic policies, gun law's or lack of, climate change denial! Chomsky calls democrats, moderate republicans, he's probably right. Michael Hudson believes both democratic and republican party policies are right squewed, similar view to Chomsky. Both candidates were dreadful, but keep a very close eye on the republicans, very dangerous party

Nope - I would not chalk her loss - that's what I'm calling it - down to her gender, which was hardly visible under all the baggage she has, both good and bad. Blaming bigotry is a cop-out that would excuse her supporters from examining what really happened.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

What do you think about having a man who advocates sexual assault as U.S. president?

I think it will start waves of protest amongst women
    We don't deserve this!

She didn't lose because she is a woman.

She lost because she is a Clinton. She lost as she has been a disaster and who wanted a no fly zone over Syria which would have put the US in conflict with Russia.
She lost as she is out of touch, most people don't care it is a person with a vagina.

Care to elaborate on that? Trump is awful, but Hilary was also a terrible candidate - she shouldn't have been the nominee in the first place. This result has nothing to do with her being female

sorry , look at the vote for the conservatives , the destruction of labour , have you been asleep for a year

we have the hopes of the dispossessed in the UK embedded in a right wing party of the rich in the UK

we have the hopes of the dispossessed in the USA embedded in a billionaire , who doesnt pay taxes and employs cheap wage workers and imposts steel from China for his towers

Its the absolutely bizarre scene of the sheep voting for the wolves, incredible ( and nice for us right wingers )

A dangerous time for America and the rest of the world.
An overtly fascist candidate has been elected President.
A triumph of hate over hope.

The most common fallacy disillusioned electorate's hold to is that things can't get any worse.
But they can and I suspect they will.

    We shall see.

This guy who asked "if we have nukes why don't we use them?" 3 times in the briefing with the Intelligence Agencies as part of the campaign...will have the key really. Not exactly comfortable.

The President doesn't get to decide "alright lads we're launching nukes now", he can't even declare war unilaterally. Stop fearmongering.

My Question is how can they count hundreds of millions of votes in a few short hours and it takes us days for a poxy Leitrim By Election ? ?
As a matter of fact the counting of millions of votes only takes a few hours if they are very well organised.
Over here in Italy we vote on Sundays, stations usually close at 10 pm, the first reliable results are ready right past midnight, and before dawn it is all done.
    I see no wonder.

Don't delude yourself. Perhaps if you lived in a (mainly) conservative country and a truly red state (as I do) then you'd understand. Clinton is no saint but she's ten times the candidate Trump is/was. Most conservative voters would rather poke out their eyes then vote an older woman into office.

Maybe Americans didn't want a new Cuban missile type crisis caused by Hillary.

When I was over in the US 3 weeks ago, there was a lot of complaint about US government, so it was going to be hard for Hillary to win an election for more of the same which is out of touch establishment.

I'd love to have seen what would have happened had it been 2 male candidates, maybe next time. I still think gender issues in America are very prevalent, for all the spin and polishing they do, the notion that a woman could be the president would make a lot of them choke on their cornflakes.
As I said I'm no fan of either of them, and anyway, they have who they selected now...... I guess whatever happens under Trump's presidency will be what they deserve good or bad...........

    We don't deserve this!

Women don't deserve to be put to death for having the cheek to get gang raped, nor do gays deserve to be publicly executed for their orientation, but Trump's opponent had no problems with receiving money from countries where that routinely happens, so I can only imagine how furious you are about that....

Rudy Giuliani cared that she had a vagina and gave that as an actual reason why people should trust Trump. It was never the key reason she failed, but you can't say it wasn't an issue at all.

The main problem was the democrats put forward the only human on earth that could possibly lose to Trump. They've no one to blame but themselves.

yes he was. he was rejected and got a job carrying medical supplied across the enemy lines. He had such an uncanny knack for avoiding hales of bullets that he was called the Ghost by his comrades.. I guess some people are meant to live for some reason. I read this in a history buck and though I'm not stating it's actual fact, I am willing to accept it's true as with most things I read in history books.

He was not allowed to carry a rifle is technically what I mean. So although he was in WW1 he actually failed the physical to be a soldier.

What ? I have no idea where you got that but it's completely wrong.

He served in the Bavarian army, likely due to a clerical error as he wasn't really eligible to serve with them. During WW1 he served in the reserves as an infrantryman, was involved in the First Battle of Ypres after which he was assigned as a message runner.

His regiment saw plenty of action at the Yser, the Somme, Arras, Passchendaele,...

You don't get 2 medals for what you describe.
