Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

degsie probably gave you the best answer above.

It's an unusual time of year to discover something like this though. Things should be getting quiet about now. Honeybees will be flying less and wasps nests are dwindling away to nothing right about now.

You might get some better responses if you could stick up a couple of photos.

If they turned out to be wasps, they'll be gone with a few more frosty nights.

If they're honeybees you shouldn't see much sign of them between now and the spring and it might be smarter for your Dad's roof space and for the bees to leave them there until then. They'll consume a good amount of their honey stores between now and then. If it's tricky to get at the comb, at least when something is done about it in Spring, you're not leaving several kilos of honey up there to start leaking and fermenting over time.
