The least you'd expect is for him to wear his county colours.

It's a conflict, he drove at other soldiers, not civilians. No sympathy...but on the other hand, surely as legitimate as shooting or lobbing a grenade?

That man was one sick twisted individual.
Named his son Osama as I recall, a all round good egg.
If I remember correctly he appeared on the Late Late with Anjem (Andy) Choudary.

I always thought it was just when those IRA lads blew themselves to bits by mistake.

Whereas this goldfish would have survived by mistake.

You should be required to seek permission from the Dept. Foreign Affairs in order to join a foreign army (including the British Army). Anyone that they've evidence of taking part in armed conflict without that permission should be stripped of their citizenship.

We're going to ignore the fact he was called Khalid Kelly then? Grand.

What is the point of that?

Don't really think he needs it anymore anyway.

How would that be relevant here? Was he going to apply in writing to Charlie Flanagan for permission to join ISIS?

When first asked if he wanted to join the Taliban he said that he couldn't play any musical instruments.
