Everything else is off and the skill is enabled but never mind, I switch to amazon.com and it showed up in the flash briefing settings but now Spotify wont work and I cant get it to switch back to amazon.co.uk

If you switch UK to US or vice versa you need to go to the alexa app and select Spotify as your primary music source again.

Did that but alexa wouldnt play any of my playlists:mad: Everytime I went to alexa.amazon.co.uk I kept getting redirected to alexa.amazon.com. But its all sorted now, Amazon chat to the rescue. Wont be trying that again anytime soon.

Finally after a lot of messing around and cursing at Alexa and thanks to you guys everything sorted. Bar Irish radio by voice but Im ok with that.

    USA account with Dublin Address.
    Time working.
    Weather working without saying Dublin.
    Traffic working.
    Music working without saying spotify.
    Harmony working.
    TV on/off
    Flash Briefing from RTE.
Sports update with English Premier league teams.
Can only get FM 104 with Voice. Rest with App.

I am unsure how I got everything to work as it took me about 2 hours switching from UK account to USA account and back again and disconnecting echo then connecting again.
I think you need to have the laptop and a bit of peace with the Echo beside you so you can reset a couple of times. And the patience of a saint. Special shout out to BK , Stoner and V10 thanks for your input.

    Weather working without saying Dublin.
    Traffic working.

This is after setting Echo language to US correct?

I still have the UK language... kinda prefer the voice tbh.
    Flash Briefing from RTE.

This is with v10's app right?

Odd traffic didn't work for me. Perhaps I'm phrasing the question incorrectly.

"Alexa, how long will it take to drive to Merrion Square" ?

Are your playlists working with voice command?

Why wont Amazon open up the Alexa skills kit for the UK since their selling the Echos there now?

I have the route from my house to O Connell street.
I just say " Alexa whats the Traffic"
Edit: Just tried "Alexa, how long will it take to drive to Merrion Square" She tells you how far from Merrion square you are then says "because I dont know your speed ,I can't tell you how long it will take.

Did you set up your route?

Did you set up your route?

Oh right didn't know u had to do that. So that's the only way of defining time to destinations?

I.e. you can't just specify an address randomly like Google Maps?

Yes, or adverts.ie/ebay, but be wary of prices.

So you've got Spotify playlists working after changing your echo over to a US account?

I have mine set to Ireland and playlists work for me with voice, also I added Irish radio stations to my favorites in the tunein section of the Alexa app and it seems to pick up most of them now.

My Hue lights had been working fine with the command "Alexa, turn the lights on/off" or "Alexa, lights off/on" which would turn off all 3 of my bulbs (in one room).
I installed Yonomi to see what it was like, created a few routines for changing colours of 1 bulb etc, but after doing that the abvove commands stopped working, it keeps saying back to me that "I found several devices matching that name which one did you want?"

I uninstalled and disconnect all the Yanomi associations and to my eyes everything looks the same as it was in the Alexa app devices list, but the ****ing thing is still responding with "I found several devices matching that name which one did you want?" when just asking to turn "the lights" or "lights" on and off.

Any ideas how to get it back to how it was?

edit "dim the lights" is broken now too FFS

Happened me too... click to Forget all devices and groups, and rediscover.. fixed it for me!

Tried that a number of times but it didn't sort it - I think I've worked around it though by creating a group called "Lights" in the Alexa app, now seems to be working as it did. Weird that I didn't need to do that before though.
