    Hi

I bought or my wife a skirt/robe in China in May. Never heard anthing in regards to import duty for that.

I got that sent to my office address.

Now I have received from ControlAccount plc a letter stating I have to pay 72.10 Euro on duty - they work for Fedex.

This includes as well late payment fees already - the letter was addressed to the company - my name was missing on it so I believe that was the reason I never received the previous letters.

Is that legit? Or is this some kind of scam?

If you have the goods you bought, I'd ignore the letter.
If you feel you don't want to stiff fedex, while they are trying to stiff you, you could pay them the amount of tax they paid the revenue, but none of their fees.
I'd further ask to see a receipt from Revenue showing the fees were paid before paying.

    Thanks
I have paid the original invoice amount to Fedex (not to Controll Account). The invoice was never adressed to me but to my employer - although the address only acted as a delivery address.

Wrote an email to Fedex and stating that I only paid the original amount and not late payment fee and that the invoice was incorrect.
