Buying a game for someone in USA

Hi folks - how would I go about buying a game (Titanfall 2) for a buddy of mine in America... (xmas present).. I guess digital download is the best way to do it? I could also get the DVD and mail it to him, but worried about different DVD formats (not sure if thats still a problem).

Anyone done this before?

You could also set up an amazon.com account & have the game/DVD sent as a gift to your friends address in USA
