Any online journal databases for Sciences? and any help using DIT?

Can't figure the dit system out at all. I'm looking for online journals, articles for referencing in my essays and lab reports. Are there any free ones online either? thanks for any help.

Have you tried Google Scholar? I found most of my thesis papers using that.
