Insurance for Alternative Farm Enterprise

Have any of you got insurance cover for an alternative farm enterprise and if so with what company. We have always insured the farm , house & car with FBD but I am finding them a little bit unprofessional since I looked for cover for the new enterprise. Firstly they left me waiting for months after their farm visits before getting back to me, then they quoted me excluding the new enterprise.

I am interested to hear other's experiences where the new enterprise involved people coming onto the farm.

Have any of you Equine farm insurance ? A couple of years ago FBD had a rep at the RDS promoting Equine farm insurance. I tried to get that type of cover this year and the local FBD manager said they are trying to get out of that business even though they were advertising Equine cover at the time we spoke.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Couldn't tell you anything about fbd doing equine insurance. Maybe ask some of riding clubs or showjumping yards.
I'd say look at allianz insurance.
They seem to be still in the market.

You may need to go to a broker...probably worth pricing anyway. There are many to try but I might suggest Wexford Insurances and Sweeney Walsh and Associates Ballymacarbery...both do what you are asking for...
