Humax Freesat

I have a Humax foxsat, & 2nd hand sky hd box which I use for FTA channels, and BT/espn sports through eir broadband. My question is: is it possible to install a card reader in the humax to allow me to watch bt sports/Espn on 2nd tv?

I am not interested in illegal tv, or anything like that, but it would be great to have some flexibility.

Would it be better to get a newer humax, as the foxsat is beginning to give a little trouble, or is there another box that would be more appropriate/freesat and easy to use, not really interested in Linux boxes,

    Hopefully someone can help

My understanding is as follows ...

To get the eir Sports in HD you need to use a Sky HD box with a card paired to the box and get eir to enable the card for eir sports.
You do not need a Sky subscription for that card.

Using the card in a non-Sky box is contrary to the Sky terms & conditions for the card, and also means that the eir channels cannot be received in HD (where applicable).

It is not illegal as such to use the card in a non-Sky box, but if you do then the card is liable to be cancelled if discovered.

I am open to correction on the above. ;)
