Kinda disappointed we aren't getting more poison types showing up. Still, got enough candy in a 3 hour walk to evolve a Meowth, Cubone, and get 3 Gengar. Bonus, hatched an egg that gave me a Ponyta and 31 candy, which was in turn enough to get a Rapidash that's pretty decent. Also hatched a pretty good Rhyhorn, about 10 candy short of getting a Rhydon now.

I've had a week in Lanzarote and got a good few pokemon walks in. It was Cubone, Machop, Geodude and Mankey heaven. Looks like it will continue when I get home.

I've realised that I can't throw straight anymore though. So I've really wasted a lot of eggs on doduo's and those egg things. I have gotten down to less than 10 eggs at times despite having about 10 pokestops on a 3km walk. Only 1 charmander which was disappointing on a volcanic island. I finally evolved a Lapras, Magmar and Onix. Now that I have the onix he is turning up everywhere.

I must have gained at least 20 new mons through evolutions and hatchings with a few more to come but I'm waiting to see if I can get a higher base-mon to evolve before I leave. Up to 114 caught now. Saw a Farfetched too. My apartment is a rattata nest which is a bit worrying.

Loads of level 10 gyms. I got into one as the last mon in. It lasted less than 30 minutes, so one coin a day is all I managed

Did a mass evolution with a lucky egg earlier, five new pokemon added and two thirds of the way through level 25.
The day was topped off by catching a wild Snorlax, a whopping 39CP but I love him anyway

. I put his 6 candies to good use on the one I hatched a couple of weeks ago.

Saw the Kangaskhan but no Tauros in other gym. Assume it was taken over or knocked down a few pegs. I've seen Tauros before in gyms but not since the 'seen' update. Never seen a Farfetch'd though

I'm going to wait until after the weekend for mass evolution, should get a ton of XP

Got my second ever 10k today. 1 hatched and I got a Dratini and caught another from a lure in town, so brings me to about 60-ish candies. 1k left on my final 10k...fingers crossed for a 60+ candy Dratini! Also, the lures today gave me good stuff. Have enough for Slowbro and got about 50+ Magikarp candy, bringing total to 170 now.

And I'm really missing the pidgeys. When first announced I thought great, two pidgeys and you have an evolve. Instead it looks like they have flown south for the winter.

Is that related to your phone issues? There was a further update today, so get that down if haven't already. It's meant to stop the capture freeze since the other update.

Started the day with 66 Dratini candies, finished with 100. I might just get my Dragonite this week after all!

I'm finding it hard to get eggs, and it feels like they're singling me out to not give me any, lol. I was out walking this morning and had the kids phone with me too, and every time I'd spin a pokestop I'd get an egg (if I had an empty slot) on that phone, but at one point today, I had 3 eggs incubating on my own phone, and two incubators sitting empty because I just wasn't getting any eggs.

My best egg hatch of the day was a Geodude, everything else was rubbish (one of each Nidoran, Caterpies, Weedles). I have enough candies to evolve 3 Cubones and 4 Gastly from today alone, and managed to level up too!

Eggs are throwing out pure rubbish for me, of course as soon as the event starts, you could give me x10 egg candies for rattata and I still wouldn't care. No sign of a 10k either. Its mostly 5 with the odd 2k for me.

Mostly just that there's nothing I want to catch. I found another Pidgee in town an hour ago. Normally I never bother catching them but the double candy is tempting.

The phone is absolute dog muck though. It freezes literally every five minutes and takes two minutes to restart the app.

Yup, I hatched 17 eggs yesterday

Including a Cubone with 42 candies......which I’d normally be very happy about.

But I had serious trouble getting eggs, I planned my hunt so I’d be hitting a stop every 50m or less. But it took me 3km to refill all my empty slots, I just kept getting pokeballs.

First thing this morning, I hatched a Grimer! What a time to get a first Grimer hatch. I've gone from looking at a very long walk to being pretty damn close to a Muk. It gave me 29 candies though which is odd, I expected the number to be even if it is doubling. Strange but I'm not complaining.

Couple that with my Kabuto and Weezing and I’ll have multiple additions to the pokedex on my next mass evolve for the first time in months.
I should be up to 139 in the pokedex before this ends.

Can't complain, I got two Bulbasaur and a Charmander in eggs yesterday. I am noticing that Im having to hit alot more pokestops to get eggs alright.
Up to 98 Bulbasaur candy now, then it's onto Grimer after that

Hoping I'll soon follow. Who had the theory about buddy Pokemon getting you that in an egg? I'm willing to believe when I swap over to Grimer later today

Candy tracking is not working right at all for me. I walked 7km with graveller, it registered 3km and gave me only 4 candies. It says underneath him to realm 0.25km but dividing the distance walked by the number of eggs it's closer to 0.75.

Regional Dex done

Got the last candies for Venasaur a couple of days ago but the wife was waiting on a few more to get Muk so decided to wait for her so we could complete it at the same time.

It because pokemon go only registers distance with the servers every 4 minutes.
At .25km you'd have to walk at a snails pace to make it work.

Basically only walk 3 and 5km mons to get the most out of this event.

I figured that yesterday but loads of people contradicted me saying they got multiple candies on refresh. I've been comparing to the journal but maybe when it says X found a candy it means X found Y candies. I'll keep a closer eye on the actual candies in the Pokemon list next time I go out.

It would be useful if the buddy screen listed the total never of candies found for that mon type

Getting nothing but 5k eggs. So frustrating. Abra ma chop and koffing aside (an im nearly done with all 3) I need nothing from them. I'd much rather keep grinding out 2k in hope of hitting some starter mons for candies.

Can someone confirm what is the highest number of mons you can get if you're only playing in Ireland and also what are the ones you cant get? In the States next month, might try and get some of those ones.

142 is the max you can catch at the moment. Tauros, Farfetch'd and Kangaskhan are not available in Europe. If you're going to the US you'll be able to get Tauros.
They can however register to your pokedex if someone has been abroad and sticks them in a gym

Hitmonchan from a ten k this morning have another 10k on the go and one 5k and one 2k, with another 2 k waiting to be incubated, and thats all the eggs i have right now, i have no idea how many pokestops i hit on my way to work, but at least twenty to twenty five and this morning i only got the 10K egg and one 2k. The eggs are definitely not as frequent!
