It's so much harder to take gyms since the level up change. Before the change most gyms were between level 3 and 5, now they are normally between 7 - 9.

For someone who often plays on their own on the way home from work it's not worth taking a level 7+ gym as it takes too long and too many resources.

I've had the missing weedle and also the pidgey that hangs around indefinitely after getting a successful throw. Clear ram and restart Go with a confirmed catch registered.

Instead of giving 4 candies for 5Km for Dragonite, it's 1.25Km for 1 candy! Bit of a strange way to do it, but makes candies easier and faster to get

Scanning cork city and they're literally on every corner! The same with Cubone. I've already got 6 Cubone and a Marowak and I haven't even moved from my chair.

66 gastly candies in the space of about 90 mins. Also used the double transfer candies to get a whole pile ready to evolve. Have to wait til morning cos my little boy would be gutted if I evolved them without him. With any luck my pokemon in the gym will last the night and I can spring for a lucky egg also!

Should evolve nine tails on the way to work and then either Diglett or Pikachu goes on the boiler. Not sure whether to do the reachable ones like rhyhorn after that or get motoring on Charizard. Maybe golem. 50 candies should be quick enough... Ach, decisions!

Edit: GPS went nuts for a minute and Vulpix found a candy and Pikachu hatched

Not out of the house 5 mins, already seen three Gastly, one Haunter and a Hypno.
New sign in screen is class, and only 0.75km for a Bulbasaur candy! Happy days

I was just reading on Facebook (that otakukart site, or whatever it's called) but there are increased spawn rates for the next week on more than just Ghost types, best ones that are increased IMO are Alakazam, Grimer & Muk (Meowth is also increased!)

If you're walking Pikachu I've noticed that you can only get one candy every time it refreshes, so every four minutes I think. Which means walking at 60 metres a minute max.

Also, I hate to be that guy but as they've simply replaced everything with ghost and psychic types rather than adding them, there's literally nothing else to catch so when after ten minutes everyone has a hypno, gengar, marowak and Persian it's just constant walking until next week.

Yes boys, what a time to hatch back to back Bulbasaur from 2km eggs

I was due some 2km karma - up to 79 Bulbasaur candy in the blink on an eye - we might have Venusaur before the weekend.
Fingers crossed I can get the same luck with 5km eggs and Grimer!

Happened about 5 times yesterday to me. Had to restart the game but game registered all 5 as caught.

Re buddy: its a dilemma, walk the ones you need for your dex easily or grind out the longhaul guys like Dratini/starters. Im thinking Dratini myself

Three gastlys on my screen today! Caught two and one dashed. Caught a gengar, too!!! They say they increased Drowzees. To me, there were always too many drowzees so I'll continue to not catch them!! I like the new set up!!

I've seen 3 Meowth and 4 Cubones this morning, which is unusual. Must check out that site and see what else is listed.

I've caught three Cubone and three ghastly in my bed this morning! A Gengar just escaped from me at my desk
But in joy of joys I hatched my second grimer this week, double candy, I now have a Muk ready to go!

I finally evolved my cubone thanks to that and the Halloween bonus. I might even have a chance of finally evolving haunter into whatever too
And my jigglypuff is finding loads of candies

I see there's a Taurus and a Kangaskhan in gyms here today, so you might want to avoid gyms if you don't want them showing in your pokedex!
