Had fancied btts in Salzburg v Nice but after seeing the lineups am going to avoid.

Taken Kovalenko anytime for Shakhtar at home to Gent instead @3.40 on bet365.. Think it looks a decent price

Can't be arsed trying to suss out any bets tonight so just backed the 7/1 'special' in paddies - Man United, Bilbao, Zenit, Roma, Feyenord.

Nice one man :) I think Shakhtar could fill boots tonight if they wanted.

I just remembered that Van Persie is on his way back to Old Trafford tonight. He's not setting the world on fire these days but he will have some payback in mind considering how he was shipped out of there. Best priced anytime scorer @4.33 on bet365 - might give it a tenner if he gets the nod.

Cheers langer but don't have any online accounts at the moment so stuck with the shops.

Would fancy a Skertle card tonight if I could get on at a decent price, just seen he starting for Fenerbache.

Anyone who can tell me how the referee was in Dundalk - Maccabi?

    He is Feyenoords ref tonight...

I only watched the second half but he seemed lenient, the cards were for cynical type fouls that every ref gives.

Why do I continue to back Italian teams? They're poison.

I liked him. 2 cards for Zorya were nothing but deserved.
One of the better referees i have seen lately. Not bad at all for a Latvian

    Best bet for an acca?

    Arsenal HT/FT
Arsenal to score 3 or more
Arsenal to win and over 2.5

I've always been a bit wary of us (Arsenal) going up against 'Boro. I still remember them knocking us out of the League Cup a decade or so ago when we faced them 4 times in the space of 4 weeks. :o

There is very little form from Middlesborough away to the top teams. Its a game that involves a lot more guesswork that other fixtures this weekend.

They had 1 shot on target at home to Tottenham and I expect them to sit very deep against Arsenal so the 3 or more bet doesn't appeal and Arsenal have a very good chance of keeping a clean sheet so the win & over 2.5 goals bet is basically the same bet.

Of those 3 options the HT/FT bet is my pick.

    SkyBet offer 1.67
    Coral offer 1.87

That is a massive difference if you bet for value.

Anyway, my bet for tonight is a treble of Monaco, Birmingham DNB and E. Frankfurt DNB, if all 3 land it'll pay out at just over 5/1. TBH my one big worry is that Hamburg are winless since the start of the season, and that streak has to come to an end sometime soon.

Cheers, Coral is my main bookie as it happens. Had considered the win to nil, but it only takes one slip for that to wrong no matter how dominant the team is...
