Renault traffic immobiliser problem

    Renault traffic not starting,no alarm,indicators,hazards and no red immobiliser dot on the dash .If you left it for a couple of hours it would come back to life ,sometimes for a month or as little as five minutes.Checked all connections blue plug and all fuses etc under the header tank but all fine except for the 70 amp but when replaced made no difference.Think it's for the heater plugs and probably blows due to repeatedly trying to start it . Started to check connections on the Uch and it came back to life ,unplugged the uch cleaned the connections up and put back in .Now it is gone completely dead . Do I need to reprogram the Uch after I disconnected it or does someone have some other advice for me as it would be gratefully appreciated.Seen a post from Pat Flanagan from a couple of years ago which is similar so would be great to get an update on that one

    No need to reprogram after disconnecting UCH module. Sounds like it could be a wiring issue, and seeing as the problem has been exacerbated by disconnecting the module i would start looking for wiring faults/poor earths in that area first. Pulling a wiring diagram and checking power feeds and grounds to the UCH might be a good start.
