Options for Bulls over 16 Months

    I've a few bulls here gone over 16 months . I'm wondering what the options are? I had them on a finishing diet and a couple didn't finish on time. If I send these to the factory at 17/18 months what sort of price could I expect? and are they too old to castrate ?

    What breed are they? Fat cover is the big issue, they need them at 2+ or 3. Where did you sell the rest? You'll lose the QA bonus, that's probably all.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    And you might be surprised in late Nov early Dec when grass cattle are gone and nothing really coming from sheds how standards slip in relation to what price is available. Only for a short window though.

    I would feed them away very little cattle going into sheds and cattle being killed like they are going out of fashion. I am not sure what the fad with U16 month bulls is. Hard to get FS on them. You can keep feeding them for 150-180 days. They really pile on the weigh as they go up through the FS's. You will get them away before Christmas. \I will gamble that they will achieve a higher price that the U16 months bulls if those bulls were killed in last 4 weeks if you can hold them to near Christmas.
