Feck sake, it's literally just occured to me that the word "month" is related to the word "moon" (because one month is roughly one lunar/moon cycle). :o

This is like when I realised the word "county" original meant an area ruled by a count. (like king - kingdom)

I often use a hotel booking website venere.com
I've used it for years and always referred to it with people as pronouncing it ven-ear.

I was looking at a hotel there this evening and wanted to ring them with a question. I rang the number on screen but it was actually venere's own number. They pronounced it ven-er-ray

the amount of irish people ive spoke to who seem to think white americans are either irish or just a monoethnic white people. the whole immigrant thing seems to be hard for them to grasp, maybe because ireland is so different and from the way our media portrays it, irish are the only people who emigrate

    also monday= moonday

You know Clint Eastwood, by Gorillaz? I've listened to this about a thousand times and I only just got the Clint Eastwood connection recently. It's the bit at the start which sounds like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly theme :o

Nearly 25 years listening to Fairlytale of New York and I just realise thanks to the YLYL thread that the lyric is...

...You're a bum...you're a punk ...you're an old slut on junk! ... Listening to it will never be the same again.

In the past the diagonal measurement was the outside of the glass tube. So a 17" CRT monitor had the same size display as a 15" LCD

I used to think that when the moon was less than full, it meant the earth was causing a partial eclipse. Only took me 45 years to work that one out.

Take it as a rough guide that Simon Cowell is a moron and everything he says is designed to generate a society filled with uneducated morons. A.M comes from ante meridiem, where meridiem is midday

I feel I should clarify as I am neither a moron, or uneducated moron. There is a band on xfactor called 5 after midnight but they keep calling them 5am.... But thanks for the aggressive pointless insults.
