I noticed it said his siblings were all put in care and they had a different father to him. I'm curious about that.

Ah I see the mother's previous partner was also abusive. The mothers in these awful cases interest me. How some of them collude and also take part in the abuse of their children is just baffling.

I was half following this case while it was on.The boy said his father owned a rocket launcher and had a huge arsenal of guns in his shed and I think he said something like his father threatened him with the rocket launcher.WTF?

14 years? The poor little kid. 8 years old describing himself as feeling like a dog nobody wanted. That's devastating. How anyone could hurt a child like that, or watch as someone hurt a child like that, I can't understand.

They're most likely being abused themselves to a great extent. Threatened, intimidated etc.
That said, it really isn't an excuse for allowing anybody to touch your child. Even when it's also his child

My baby isn't even born yet, and I already have a frightening sense of protection over it. If anyone so much as looked funny at my kid, be they related, stranger, whoever, I'd lose all reason.

There was a case in the UK involving the singer of some rock band a number of years ago. He managed to convince, I'm not sure if that's the right word, the mother of a small child to allow him to abuse him/her.

I believe there is something very damaged about those women. Deluded to the point of no return. Then there are the women who turn a blind eye to the abuse carried out by their husbands. Who stand by them till the end. One possible explaination is that to accept the reality of the situation would render their whole lives a lie.

Doesn't matter to me. Being the victim of abuse yourself does not, under any circumstances, give you an excuse to repeat what was done to you. I realise it happens, but it's no excuse.

Theres no other way of putting it but some of the stuff he said sounds kind of far fetched.The stuff about machine guns and rocket launchers in the link I posted.It doesn't say if the Gardai found any guns at the house or if these were included in the charges.

Wait it does,missed it first time.The boy says his father disposed of them the night before in questions as to why the weapons weren't found.

Makes you wonder though how do you just dispose of 50 guns like that?Not exactly something you stick in the bin.

How does that happen? I know someone who was a foster parent. They had to jump through hoops to do it. They were thoroughly assessed.

What makes you think it was one of the foster parents. It could have been one of the other kids or a neighbour or family friend.

If there's one thing for sure these cnuts know how to manipulate any system to get access to children. I'll bet there are people out there who would make great adoptive or foster parents that are refused for ridiculous reasons.
