    Hi

Just wondering which route people took while installing their wastewater treatment systems: turnkey by company? or contractor installed and engineer signed off on?

    I've been specified a Tricel P6 system

I've gotten prices for the tank alone from suppliers here which are a shade under 3k + 23% vat

One company said 8k for supply and fit

I've seen the same unit in the UK for £1,550 (ex vat) also includes the audio and visual alarm (didn't here), which conform to the same EN12566-3 standard. Possibly available up the North for similar prices.

Just wondering which route was taken by others

    thanks

It's important to note that system types vary ( yours must comply with council approved permission) as does their quality and importantly maintenance costs ( contract typically required by council)
So if you import a unit - who will maintain it and sign off yearly?

The one in the UK was the same make and model specified by engineer.

I will research this more to make sure they are exactly the same.

One thing any company I spoke too asked was it supply or supply and fit.

Dyno-rod specify on their website than they will provide maintenance for any wastewater treatment system, was just a quick google search.

    Follow what BryanF said.

Get it supplied, fitted and with a maintenance contract. It will cost more but it'll help filter out the cowboys and it'll lock the manufacturer down to putting their money where their mouth is.

There are a lot of poor systems on the market now because it's big business. After Jan 2017 all these systems have to be SR66 compliant. Ask the manufacturer about this!!!

P.S. - Did you get planning on the site you were discussing here in January in Clare?

If so I hope you paid your agent well because they did a good job!
