    Lickitung, Aerodactyl, Chansey, Snorlax spawns?

At least I can walk my way to all others....

137 caught/evolved, only 5 to go need to either hatch a chansey the rest I can evolve. Venasaur machoke wheezing and muck and I've caught them all in Ireland.

I started using the fastpokemap around work and nipping out on my break to pick up the squirtles that have been popping up.

    Very handy.

I'm up to 640 eggs hatched and I'm still waiting on a Grimer. Getting kind of silly now

Mad how the game works. Iv only hatched 160 odd but 2 Grimer. As well as 2 caught in the wild. Enough for my muk with a Grimer to spare.

Anyone know if the golf course on bull island is accessible? also what route do you take on the island for the best results and any advantages of going during the day?

I swear if they spent as much time and energy on the actual game as they do on stopping people from accessing it we would have the game they showed in the trailer by now.

Lapras 1652 with Ice Shard and Blizzard and I already have a Lapras 1938 with Ice Shard and Dragon Pulse.

Better move set and I have candies to power it up I suppose.

That's decent. Was chatting to one of my Canadian friends, they hatched a 10k egg and got a Jynx :(

It's kinda strange that all the starts (bar Bulbasaur maybe) are basically useless in the current game in their evolved form.
Definite issue with game design evident here. Simplifying the pokemon stat concept for a mobile game is OK in theory but making it so HP dependant that it makes it unbalanced is not.
Fully evolved starters should get some more benefit over a randomly hatched Snorlax/Lapras or even a Vaporeon.

Trainertips on youtube does a couple of videos on this...how to to improve pokemon go....
Well thought out ideas rather than Ali-a clickbait.

Onix from a 10k?? Are you sh1tting me? Didn't even know they were in them. Raging. Nearly lvl 25 and not a Snorlax or lapras to my name. The search continues.....

Presume it would be better to power up a Gyarados with 1749 CP, 69% IV's and Hydro Pump than one with 1601 CP, 94% IV's and Twister? Does their weight have any impact because the first one mentioned is 2.34kg and the second one is 212.63kg?
    Size does not matter :p
As for your Gyary it depends on your intended use. If you want a gym defender then the 1749 CP is your mon, if you want an attacker .... he's probably your guy too :p
If you powered your 94% guy up to match, it would only be 2% more powerful but with a worse moveset......meaning even with the 2% advatage in a 1 to 1 battle it would probably lose.

Given the abundance of Magi's why not power up both of them. Gyarydos is on of the few mons I actually spend stardust on powering up.

*** If you want to get deep into game theory (tin foil hats at the ready) then there is an arguement that an attacker needs to only dodge 1 hydropump attack per battle, diminishing it's power greatly. Meaning that on paper hydropump is the better secondary but in reality twister is better becuse Gyary uses it so often and as it is not a massive attack, attacker tend not to dodge it as readily meaning it does more damage overall. In theory ***

Some posts on Facebook this morning from John Hanke talking about PG events to capture legendaries etc. Do people on here expect one of these events in Ireland? I'd be surprised but I'd also be well annoyed not to have a chance at getting the Pokemon not in the game yet

I think these 'events' would be ingame rather than real life. Just look at some of the incidents surrounding Pokemon Go already this summer.
Having an event in Central Park/Hyde Park/Place d'Invalides for example would see 1000's if not more people swarm the location to capture the legendary.
And as a game designer you want the option open to all players. An ingame event/quest allows this.

They also blocked rooted phones again, spent hours last week getting my phone working again, only for them to block me once more.
The people who are cheating are not even using phones, so blocking rooted phones does nothing.

FastPokeMap going down is a bummer. Any alternatives?

My whole point was to show how they weren't useless. Also, it's clear some of us are using different methods of defining "quality", so there's bound to be some disagreement :)

That's fine, different strokes for different folks. :D
What I was trying to communicate was for the time and effort it takes to evolve all the starters, the reward should match but it does not. At this rate I'll be into double figures of Gyarydos and Slowbro's (one day I may even get a second bloody Vaporeon) before I get a Charizard. But when I do get the Charizard, any of the group mentioned previously would wipe the floor with it. I just think the mechanics for the starters are a little screwed.

They should be more powerful and sought after than Snorlax but they are not, they've become a tick the pokedex box exercise, at least for me. I think that's a bad thing.

I agree but think of the press and coverage they would get for free. Tens of thousands descend on Hyde park, it'd be on every news channel.

This scenario is what is played out in the advert.

An in game event would be fairer all round but a geo event would make better business sense.

Plus if they do have one in Ireland it'd would only be in big cities, maybe Dublin alone, which would be two fingers to rural players.

Seems to be working again for now. Just looking at their twitter, seems they would expect it to be short lived from now on

Yeah, it's back up in bit-part for me too now. Doubt it'll last too long. Seems the Charmander nest on Bull Island has switched to Ghastly. :(

"Well for now we're working at 80% capacity again, seems like my little tweak did the trick.
Forwarding recaptcha to users and we good again."

That's from fastpokemap twitter account. Yes all the nests seem to be changed around but all I see is alot of vermin everywhere at the moment

Merrion Sq tho seems to be a bit of Squirtle nest
