new cassette...grease freehub?

hi in the process of putting on a new cassette, should i clean/degrease the freehub(just the outside) and put some fresh grease/lube on it, dont think i have the tools to remove fh?

Yes clean with a cloth and put a small bit of grease on your finger and spread it on the free hub surface. Helps prevent corrosion.
