Seems strange to go to that effort unless they wanna keep track of what is sold and where, why not put it under one code to make it easier.

The issue is that its not directly owned tesco stock.

The games/dvd/music was supplied under concession by hmv who in turn held stock on behalf of the various publishers.

So rather than take all stock back and spend a fortune restocking warehouses and then reselling them a deal has been done to clear it all out.

But to make sure the different publishers get their cut from their stock, everything has to be loaded individually.

    ANDY
    (turns back)
If you ever get out of here,
do me a favor. There's this big
hayfield up near Buxton. You know
    where Buxton is?

    RED
    (nods)
    Lots of hayfields there.

    ANDY
One in particular. Got a long rock
wall with a big oak at the north
end. Like something out of a Robert
Frost poem. It's where I asked my wife to marry me. We'd gone for a
picnic. We made love under that
tree. I asked and she said yes.
    (beat)
Promise me, Red. If you ever get
out, find that spot. In the base of
that wall you'll find a rock that
has no earthly business in a Maine
hayfield. A piece of black volcanic
    glass. You'll find something buried
under it I want you to have.

    RED
    What? What's buried there?

    ANDY
You'll just have to pry up that
    rock and see.

    Andy turns and walks away.

Any idea what time the sale goes live? Was planning to head to my nearest store early but it seems the missus has scuppered that plan.

Is there any chance that the staff have left anything goo for the public ?

If the sale was just a database update how come they collected all the stock up in crates?

Came out early just to beat the crowd, I am now watching staff buying stuff while I'm outside the store.

Just passing by another Tesco on the way to work and around 10 people in the queue outside

Tesco Lucan had a good enough selection just very few copies. Got two 3 ds games, two for the Xbox 360, and ten for ps4 including two different assassins creeds, battlefront, terraria, mine craft and batman. Some very happy kids this Christmas!

Popped into my local Tesco and got Black Ops III, Far Cry 4, and MGS V.. Add that to Borderlands Pre Sequel and that's not a bad haul :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 141 ✭✭Smoked Tuna

In my tesco at 710am and there was barely anything worth mentioning left over.

For PS4 there was only Assasins Creed Unity, Destiny and Dirt Rally left.

Got so lucky! Overwatch, Darksouls 3, Destiny, the new Tomb Raider, Shadows of Mordor and a few others. Pure delighted :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,391 ✭✭✭Indestructable

    Tesco Edenderry.

Got Black Ops 3, Forza 6, New Need for Speed and Risk of the Tomb Raider. All on xbox one. They are going for a far whack more on Amazon so I am happy.

They only had Destiny on Ps4.

Good few people here, a lot of parents clearing out the ps2 and 360 stuff. No real bargains there I don't think.

Selection of games just inside the door of the Drogheda store. Didn't really have time to go rifling through to see what was there but I did grab Overwatch and Destiny. They will do as stocking fillers for Xmas.

Was in Tesco Clarehall just after 7 and there was a very limited selection for PS4 and Xbox One - basically Destiny on Ps4 - and a few sports titles on Xbox one. Nothing really of note except Terraria, Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy Type 0 but only available for Xbox one - I'm a Ps4 owner.
