How long does money stay at the Post Office

    Quick question: If money is available at the Post Office to pick up on Wednesday, how long does it stay there for?

    Years ago it used to be three working days. Just want to check if it's changed, and I can't find it on the Welfare site.

    Depending on the payment, dole is usually 3 days. Be careful that you have your collection day correct as some people are told that their day is Wed but the money is in the PO on Tues.

    No it hasn't changed Mrs OB usually Saturday morning is the latest you can collect others will say they waited 6+ days and collected a payment..

    I think you need to ask the post office staff member as different benefits have different holding periods. I'm on jobseekers benefit at the moment and it is available each Wednesday until the following Tuesday in my local PO.
