Anyone know this 1981 movie: Light Years Away?

I came across this movie recently on YouTube and I was curious if anyone knows where the main filming location is. I presume it's in Connemara somewhere and there is one shot that was filmed in Leenane.

Interesting,never heard of this one before.Just went to 12.23 randomly,never knew Connemara was full of Dubs.

Watched the movie in full,well worth a look.A young Mannix Flynn,the future councillor turns up as a drunken skinhead who gets into a fight with the main character in a disco.
