Are HSE dentists any good?

So sorry if this is a offensive question. My little brother needs treatment and my dentist said she doesnt do medical card for under 16. Would the HSE dentist be fine or would I be better paying my dentist whatever it costs? Thanks for any info

Whatever about the competence of the HSE dentist in your area (which we don't know because you haven't told us where you live), you'll probably find that there is a long waiting list for his or her services so you'd probably be better off paying if you can afford it.
