Should Japan and South Korea be browbeaten into opening up their countries to millions of immigrants. Eg millions of Europeans, Africans and Muslims etc. The West is already doing this and as rich and prosperous countries Japan and South Korea could easily do the same.

    If not why not?

Because those countries aren't afflicted with white guilt and the post-modern left.

    Clickbait is encroaching.

Also, how can you browbeat a sovereign state into doing anything?

Japan has been incredibly insular throughout it's existence and that ain't gonna change.

Ah yes, that huge involvement Japan had in carving up Africa and the Middle-east causing many of the modern day issues. I remember it well from my history classes...

No they should retain their sovereignty and control over who lives there, something Ireland lost long ago.

They might not have carved up Africa and the Middle East originally but they would have if they'd had a chance, see how they treated China pre WW2 and the people they conquered during the war.

True, and that money we've got from the EU has just made it worse building all those motorways etc. At least the Brits just raped the country. Under them at least all the dirty foreigners were confined to Wexford and Dublin!

Many of the Western countries weren't involved either and those that did involved their forefathers.

Of course the country got money, that's why they joined in the first place, nobody is disputing that.

But when the day comes when we have to pay more in than we get out to finance all these EE countries that argument is gone.

Nothing you own or have ever bought has involved the exploitation of either the resources or workforce in a foreign country?

Could we not just leave then??

Possibly - but IIRC Ireland is almost neutral in its contributions vs. expenditure and the benefits of being in the EU far outweigh the duties it imposes.

I'm sure they do - I'm also sure they're equally unaware when it's been made by some kid in a factory working a 16 hour day for less than $1 a day. The difference is I suspect they don't sit behind their keyboards displaying a shocking level of ignorance about the world.

Frankly if my kids were the ones who at any moment could be burnt to death, raped or killed in any number of ways I'd probably get in a boat too. If I lived in a country that was largely ****ing empty, especially because of a disaster caused by an oppressive regime in the fairly recent history, I'd probably be a bit more sympathetic to the plight tbh.

Obviously I want them to work hard and play well with others and not cooking their weird food like boiled cabbage and... **** have I got this all confused again, all these mass migrations just blend into one tbh.

Are there many syrians trying to get into Korea? Are they making the journey on crappy boats around the cape of good hope and across the pacific/indian oceans?

Its well documented the racial abuse and antagonisation towards North Korean defectors living in the south.
Imagine what immigrants of a different race would have to put up with.
