Has anyone had success with a US TV in Ireland?

    We're currently making plans to return, we're obviously either dumping or selling off most of the furniture, one thing I do have that I REALLY wanted to bring back is a 72" LCD TV, I've read various stories online about people having success and failures with US TVs, the TV does have the sticker on the back to say it can handle the Voltage in Ireland, but the main issue I feel I would have would be signal itself, obviously I would surely need some sort of convertor for the signal alone?

    That's what I figured, I'd just need a simple voltage converter box, the sat tv box was my main concern, the TV definitely has HDMI sockets (4 in total)

    If it has a sticker on the back saying it can take 220v why are you buying a voltage converter?
