At least we're at home. Very tough tie though. I bet there will be minimal changes for that game from both teams, although given Spurs have Europe (for now anyhow) that might not be as true for them as for us.

Reckon we will play our strongest 11 while spurs may rest a few due to european commitments. Anyway should be a great game either way under the anfield lights

This game will be on telly and on the Tuesday I'd say. Both Tottenham and ourselves play on the Saturday, and Utd will be playing on the Sunday due to Europa league, so their game vs City will be live on the Wednesday.

West Ham vs Chelsea will be on Weds as well since Chelsea play Utd on the Sunday at 4pm, so almost no chance we are not on Sky I reckon, which is good.

Lovely, that means Utd have a run of us away, then Chelsea in the league followed by City in the cup a few days later. Mourinho could be in serious trouble if he loses those 3. :P
I know it's a bit off topic but I did include our game against them, I'm sorry I just can't stand Mourinho and will enjoy watching him fail with that club especially! :D

They have a EL match in between us and Chelsea as well.

Long and slow failure is better for the spectators, there's no rush :)

Rather Spurs at home than most of the other options away. We have good record with Spurs. It's a beautiful draw as four premier league teams will be out next round. We get through Spurs and it's on, again.

I thought sturridge played well in the first half.

Cant agree there, thought he was poor and out of the game a lot....

Ok grand let them win the EL game and the Cup game against City with their fans claiming the Cup game was bigger than the league game, giving Mourinho some hope. :)

Mane wasn't great either but both did okay I think.

Clyne was very good against Chelsea, don't know if he was mentioned, but he was criticised before that.

It looks as though he's been told to push higher up the pitch this year, period of adjustment is inevitable.

I never mentioned Sturridge v Chelsea, I simply mentioned we beat them without our alleged "main man" as Firmino is now being deemed.

You said if Sturridge isn't involved in plenty of games we wont be doing well as we could.....I said he'll play in the majority of games but games like away to Chelsea are examples of when he wont be used.

Your post comes across like your upset/annoyed Firmino is being rated highly which is weird being honest......

    Sturridge is due a goal
He was great in our first game at home, will be hard not to start him.

I rate firmino highly. I don't think he's an out & out striker though and if he'd played in a front 3 that doent have one I think we'll struggle unnecessarily.

I think it's weird what you think my post comes across like TBH. The sisters be loving it of course.

I remember origi was deemed Klopp s main striker last year, that didn't last long.

Maybe he just rates Sturridge more than Firmino, while being contentious it's hardly weird.

Why would you think its weird though? You said

It doesn't come across to me in that post that you rate him highly at all. Maybe just me.

I would start Sturridge vs Hull. I would play Mane,Coutinho,Firmino & Sturridge & take out Lallana even though he has been excellent.

My point was the post came across like he was annoyed about it though which is what I found weird.

It's Jonjo Shelvey all over again.

Shelvey always had the making of a good player. I was very dissapointed when he was sold.

Sturridge appears to be one of those footballers who just does not like playing. It's inexplicable how he can suffer so many injuries and there is clearly an element of feigning on his part. Klopp appears to hold a similar view. He should be sold.

Two legs are essential towards the makings of all good players, but beyond that he had f*ck all really. :pac:

Sturridge is one of those players where the public view of him is very different from the type of man he is. His team mates and manager know the man behind the player, we only see the player.
