Roads Act 1993

Kildare County Council, acting on behalf of Wicklow County Council under a Section 85 Agreement (Local Government Act 2001), hereby gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it will close the road described as follows:

Road to be Closed: The R768 at Wingfield Interchange Bridge,

Bray, Co. Wicklow

Date of Closure: Monday 26 to Friday 30 September 2016

Hours of Closure: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily

This closure is required to facilitate bridge rehabilitation works on Wingfield Interchange Bridge, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Diversion Route:

Westbound Traffic: Divert at roundabout (beside Topaz Filling Station) onto N11 southbound and continue for approximately 1.5km. Exit N11 at Junction 8 (Kilmacanoge) and take the fourth exit off roundabout onto R755. Proceed across bridge to roundabout and take the second exit towards N11. Take the first exit at next roundabout and remerge onto N11 northbound. Continue for approximately 1.7km and exit N11 at Junction 7 (Bray).

Eastbound Traffic: Divert at roundabout onto N11 northbound. Continue for approximately 1.4km and exit at Junction 6 (Bray/Fassaroe). Take third exit at roundabout onto R918 towards Bray. Proceed across bridge, take first exit at roundabout onto N11 Southbound. Continue for approximately 1.4km and exit at Junction 7 (Bray South).

There will be no through traffic across the bridge during this period; however, local access will be maintained on public roads adjacent to the bridge at all times.
