I've recently added a mesomap to my site using the excellent saratoga template , you can see what it looks like from an Irish perspective at http://www.loughlinstown.com/wxmesonetmap.php (left click zoom in, right - out).

Karl used to have one on his site (http://irelandsweather.com/) but alas it hasn't worked for a long time now, but when it was, he had a lot of Irish stations on it.

As you can see from the mesomap, the European Weather Network doesnt have many Irish members and that's a pity, it would be great if some more Irish stations were represented, its very easy to register (and free) on https://euweather.eu/ , just click "join us", once on that you will show up on the global weather network map.
I'd be happy to help anyone if needed.

Hope to see more Irish stations on the map!

    Thanks.

    Very nice SC,

May I ask what type of camera you use for webcam images you use on your homepage? Thinking of getting one set up myself and am currently 'weighing up options'*

    *how pretentious does that sound...

Hi Patrick, its a Hikvision DS-2CD2035-I, the software I use to upload the images is IPTimelapse, it also can create nice timelapses and automatically upload to Wunderground.

Here's an example timelapse for yesterdays weather:

Rob, great to have another Irish station site on the EWN!, hope to see you on the map soon :)

Very nice SC and thanks for the info. Certainly a cam worth looking into given the high quality imagery of your own.

Hi I have tried to add my station but can't seem to get it to accept my info. Do I have to have a website for this to work. I have registered with wundeground which is working fine. I have been using meteobridge to connected to the internet. I have a Davis Vantage Vue. Would love to add my station the European Weather Network.

Do you get any sort of error when trying to add your site ?

I think the main thing needed is a path to the data file so your data can be displayed - so for me this is http://www.loughlinstown.com/realtime.txt
You could also email Henkka, the admin, and ask for help - info@nordicweather.net
I didnt get any confirmation email, the site just appeared.

Rob, is your site the Ballyhaunis one on there? Its not showing on the mesonet map because there is no associated website to pull the data from - if you dont have a website you could put it on IIS on windows and put the ip if yours doesn't change (i'm with Virgin and my IP hasn't changed in years) or alternatively use the likes of http://www.noip.com/free if it does.

No, thats not my site ... i upload weather to my own site (via meteobridge) as well to Wunderground .. i did add in my wunderground ID (assuming this is where EUWeather will get the data from) ... but from what you say .. they will need the clientraw.txt instead ?

I think they can pull the data on their site from the wunderground however to appear on the mesonet it definitely needs the path to the data file, I can see in the cache file the mesonet uses on my site that it see's Ballyhaunis on EWN but there is no path to the data file so it is ignored.

No error just won't let me go on to the next level. Have to research to get my station in Limerick on a website
