Hello to one and all.

I wonder can anyone help me ?
I am looking for information regarding the West Cork Railway. Particularly the trains that ran over the Viaduct.

I am looking for pictures of the trains that ran this line for an art project.
I know of one train which is on shown in Kent Railway station called engine 36 but I am not sure if it travelled West Cork.

I am asking here because I realise you lads and lassies have alot of knowledge regarding trains

Any information would be great and a big thank you in advance.

Would you think if I found out what train ran the Viaduct that I could find a side profile image of that train.
Maybe if I went to the manufacturer website.
Do you think a side profile image might exist ?

This is your best option I think. The so called "Bandon Tanks" were built for this line.

(Don't be calling it a Train though, it's a Loco and only a train when it's pulling something)

Not quite as photogenic, but this view by photographer Jim O'Dea shows a diesel hauled track-lifting train on the viaduct after the services on the line had ceased.

Good luck with your project, just be aware it's only the bare frame of the viaduct left. I suspect the H&S guys will have a field day with you.

Ha ha. They will probably look at me like I have two heads !
It has just been in my head for a very long time and if I don't act on it I fear it will be one of my regrets in life.
No harm in trying.
