    This election is totally farcical.

The man, who illegally used charity funds to buy a 6 foot tall portrait of himself is seen as the 'honest' candidate.

What is actually farcical has been the last 8 years of Barack Obama. America is now a mess, there has been a constant transfer of wealth from the middle class to the upper wealthy elite that all started with Bush and got considerably worse under Obama. Trump can do or say pretty much anything now and walk it from here. The current establishment have only been interested in looking after their own special interest groups while talking down to the ordinary person. The fight back is well and truly on for the average person which is beautiful to see.

Hillary Clinton will be declared the winner of the first debate if she gets through it without collapsing or having a coughing fit.

Trump is currently on a roll but he'll probably blow it in the first debate.

Still, likely to be a very close election with Clinton probably narrowly shading it.

Trump will win the first debate if it turns into a shouting match.

Clinton will win if its kept to a policy discussion (and if she doesn't collapse)

I think Trump could win the first debate.
There are things that go beyond what is said - charisma, Trump has charisma whether one likes him or not, Hillary doesn't have this in my opinion.
Charisma can take a person a long way when there are deficiencies in other areas.
Hillary will have to defend her record as secretary of state, Obama may say she is the most qualified person ever for the job, but her record would say different given the results of certain things she supported, she has the anti-Midas touch.
    Both will play on fears.

Both have a lot to lose, but the debates could be riskier for Hillary than for Trump.
I expect Wikileaks will be playing a role in the debates too. Perfect timing for more revelations about Hillary, given Assange hates her.

A report today says Trump would like Peter Thiel to be his supreme court nominee.

    Not an acceptable candidate.

Trump’s press secretary, Hope Hicks, denied that Thiel had been offered a seat on the Supreme Court or that the campaign was discussing the idea. “There is absolutely no truth to this whatsoever,” she told HuffPost.

Well, if Hope Hicks says something, I guess it's an incontrovertible fact.

Are you insinuating she’s lying, just because she's part of the Trump campaign? Odd, I thought that was Hillary's campaign managers' job.

Hey, I have a bunch of bizarre rumors I’ve heard about Hillary that I could list. Where should I start?

Well, she has certainly demonstrated an extremely tenuous relationship with facts in the past. The overall impression I get of her is that she believes that things are true because she wants them to be, not because of any, y'know, evidence or whatever.

That's just factual reporting. Huffington Post announced early this year they would start including reminders about Donald Trumps record in their reporting in response to his habit of saying deplorable things and then denying he never said them, as if nobody had heard of the Internet or DVR.

Funny… I looked at a couple articles written about Hillary Clinton at the Huffington Post, and checked for a similar Editor’s Note about some of the unsavory things Clinton has said and done. Hmmm… NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH. What I did see though were several adds to Support Hillary Clinton and Stop Donald Trump.

I think it is pretty safe to say at this point that the Huffington Post is the Daily Mirror's US equivalent... or maybe the Daily Sport.

Trumps latest attempt at cooing the public is the release of a "long form" medical note.

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/here-is-the-letter-from-donald-trumps-doctor-weve-been-waiting-for/

Of course, if Hillary had done this he would have pulled the riot act, saying that's not enough information from her, what is she hiding, I have investigators in Hawaii they'll reveal amazing things they're finding amazing things etc. and the wild speculation would continue.

So let's apply the same to him.

Taking the same standard as Hillary health speculation, it's noteworthy that Crestor aka. Rosuvastatin is used to treat PERIPHERAL ARTERY DISEASE, STROKE, HEART ATTACK, and ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME. What isn't he telling us? He seems to suffer from regular and acute bouts of memory loss too:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jul/06/17-things-donald-trump-said-and-then-denied-saying/

You heard that right: Mike "Condoms are too liberal" Pence is a 70 year old stroke risk away from being the POTUS.

New Iowa poll from Monmouth University show Trump surging ahead in that state.

    Trump 45%
    Clinton 37%

Trump campaign finally acknowledges that president Obama was born in the US. That took a while. Oddly, he refused to answer the question one way or another a few hours later.

I see now that Trumps son is saying that they wont release his Tax returns because it will be too confusing for the electorate this close to the election??????

    http://time.com/money/4495037/donald-trump-release-tax-returns/

So they are saying that they don't want the bad news of all his shady dealings. I am assuming and I cant be proven wrong (because we don't have any tax returns) that the Russians, Putin etc are bankrolling him also his debt is being held by Russian Oligarchs and Arab princes, maybe an African dictator thrown in there as well. Also he is only worth €50 million not €5 billion.

Can anybody of the Trump brigade on here show me evidence that any of the above is not true.....and can you explain why its ok for Hillary to have 30 years of tax returns out there and its totally acceptable for the Donald not?

I watched some of Clinton's cash on YouTube. The Clintons have their foundation for all their dirty cash.
It showed Bill praising Paul Kagame about how great he is. I have to watch the rest of Clinton's cash, but the Clintons get into bed with war criminals.

Hang on. The Clinton Foundation, for all it's being attacked for spending its own money instead of giving it to other charities, does actual charitable work.

The Trump Foundation spends tens of thousands of dollars to buy portraits of Donald Trump for Donald Trump.

Why aren't you upset about the latter?

I was watching Jill Stein on Fox News last night.
She was asked if she was the Ralph Nader of this election as she takes away votes from the democrats, and that this could elect Trump.
She said she didn't like either and would worry about Hillary Clinton having access to nuclear bombs given her record and how she wants to intensify the war in Syria.

Jill Stein also thinks that the Russian invasion of Crimea is no big deal, neither are Russian human rights abuses, the truth is totally in the middle maaaaaan...

So... anything to say about the latest revelations about the Trump Foundation's extremely shady behaviour?

Shot yourself in the foot with that link. Here we have a prominent US political figure talking about the US and CIA supported coup and illegal overthrow of a democratically elected government in the Ukraine. I thought we in the west through the controlled western media was to pretend this never happened.

She says the US has lots of human rights issues which again is true. She also talks about sitting down and talking with dialogue & diplomacy instead of creating a world that's going to go up in flames. Give this person a standing ovation. Compare that to Obama and Clinton trying to blame Russia for everything making up false allegations as they go along. Jill Stein has earned a lot of respect from that speech.

Dateline Nottingham... There's a new sheriff in town and she goes by the name of Hillary Rotten Clinton.

Robs from the poor and gives to herself. Clinton’s campaign is stealing from her poorest supporters by repeatedly overcharging them after they make a one-time small donation through her official campaign website. Never over $100 because then banks would then be obligated to investigate the fraud. A tactic often utilized by seedy pornography companies. And her campaign refuses to refund their wrongdoings when people complain.

    Clinton’s New Colossus?

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
So that I may steal from them, galore.

Is there nothing so incorrigible, so corrupt, so wrong, that will get people to change their minds about this woman?

What political favors did trump sell, while being a government official sworn to be a servant of the people, to elicit those donations to his foundation?
