There will most likely be OF available for these from other ...providers?. In the case of the 360 it will be an awful ordeal getting it to work properly if last year is anything to go by, best thing to do is wait a month or two until Konami release a few patches and then integrate a new OF because it can be difficult to update the game when you have an OF.

My review copy arrived today, have been playing the demo a good bit so really looking forward to PES this year.

Just reading up on Option Files, I'm on Xbox One so is it true that the only way for me to download someone's OF and use their kits I need to log in to their account and play offline? Baffling if so but that is the impression I got from someone trying to sell Option Files.

I'll actually likely be playing PES 2017 on Facebook Live for Balls.ie tomorrow evening before the Champions League games so feel free to check it out and tell me how **** I am.

Can't grasp how Konami make such little effort with the kits. I mean, Man Utd's home shirt is black.. But the player models look fantastic and I love playing in Live Broadcast camera with no HUD, looks incredible.

I'll be buying both and trading in the weakest one as soon as I've made up my mind. The trade-in value will be quite high at stage. I'll be playing one of those games for the next 12 months so I'm quite happy losing out on €10-15 to make up my mind.

Has anyone who pre-ordered through The Game Collection have their game shipped out yet?

I've checked the status of my order and it still says "Awaiting Stock/Release". Will it still say that up until release date anyway?

Mine is the same. This is the first time I've ordered from there so I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

Looks like they said on Twitter that they will be processing orders today.

Mine's been updated to pending. Was awaiting stock/release up until an hour ago.

Yeah mine says Processing now. Hopefully we'll get it tomorrow at this rate. No complaints either way though, they had it for a great price.

Bought mine on US store and had a quick look at myclub this morning. Didn't get too far but I have Ibra on loan for a few matches anyway. Don't see any option files available anywhere just yet but will wait and see.

I imagine all these bonuses and updates won't come into force until Thursday anyway. I know that the transfer update is released on Thursday

I went straight to Ireland, hoping to get it Friday as i wouldn't have been able to play it Thursday anyways (fingers crossed).

It also gives me time to finish off my testimonial season in my master league :P

So I played the fifa demo...... Pro wins hands down. Now I say hands down because pro evo this year is fantastic and honestly, although fifa has improved a lot since last year, not that hard, and the dribbling and goalkeeping is very good, it's just so so slow and just not fun to play. The gameplay looks and feels realistic but it's just not that fun to play! I'll play more games later but when you're holding sprint with Lucas from PSG and it looks like he's jogging, then you know it's slow!

Spent the last few hours fiddling about with the odd game in between. Downloaded the basic option files that are available so far and have the BPL, La Liga, Serie A all ready to go but will hang on until there is a full OF available before I get stuck into the master league.

MyClub seems much the same, still has that setup that basically forces you to spend coins/money endlessly as you try to get a player you want. There is some sort of auction system that I haven't quite figured out yet but again it looks like you're never guaranteed of getting who you want. While I can see they want to be different from FIFA I do think players should have the option of buying Ronaldo or Messi or whoever with their coins. With my bonus spins I got Neuer and Arda Turan, the rest aren't worth mentioning really, no name players.

The menus have had a major overhaul and look quite similar to FIFA in a way but once you delve deeper its same old PES. Can't play online until Thursday so nothing to add on that front. One thing I will say though is that the licensed South American stadiums are absolutely class, such a change of pace from the boring European templates.

Can't wait to get stuck into the master league. Am playing the CL just to pass the time until the european release date.

As i read pes is great but lacks the bells and whistles of fifa, one clear winner this year

I'd take better gameplay over bells and whistles any day.

Sure, one may have the more authentic "feel" of a match day but it's nothing of the gameplay is tiring and stagnant.

FIFA demo is nearly downloaded so I can't comment on it but PES so far has been outstanding and the early reviews thankfully reflect that. PES finally back on top of the throne this year hopefully!

Also quite impossible to say which game is the clear winner (be it one or the other as neither are out yet).

I didn't play enough of 2016 so I was gonna skip it this year. However the early reviews have me grinning like an idiot. I'm gonna have to get it as soon as possible.

How much (including postage) from The Game Collection. Also I notice a lot of you guys use Parcel Motel? Does TGC not deliver to Ireland or are you simply making use of cheaper UK postage?

It's cheaper to use postage to Ireland (£2) than PM (free but €4 PM) but we use PM as it would generally guarantee delivery on the day/night before release whereas Irish address is generally the day of or in some cases the day after.
