    Dark Alliance 25-1 2.00 Curragh

Beat Captain Power 3 races back, Captain will be one of the well fancied horses here.
Dark Alliance on bottom weight and a big price.
With 4 to place I like it ew

    1pt ew 25-1

Also 2 00 Curragh. Bubbly Bellini is overpriced at 25s. MultipleC and D winner off higher marks including earlier this year when winning off 88. Runs off 83 tomorrow and the ground has come right for him. I expect it to run well and to go off 16s or shorter. 2.5 pt win.

I've been watching him closely for a while and there's no doubt he's well handicapped but the ground won't be soft enough I don't think, if it where soft I would go in big time.

I think yielding would be OK. But agreed any rain will help big time.

Bubbly Bellini got the Hugh Taylor treatment before I decided to back him.
    Hate when the value goes

Just saw that. Would have gone in again if I saw the 33s with 365.

Interesting sprint coming up at the Curragh. Suspect it will go to the Uk. Spirit Quartz and Gracious John would be on my shortlist. No bet though

    Gracious John 20-1 3.10

Poor run last time out on heavy ground. Ran 3rd to Meccas Angel before this finishing ahead of Sole Power and Ardmooney that day.
Its record over 5f is really good.
I think it has every chance at treble the price of others

    20-1 ew .

    Reflected in the run. :o

Going to give Lockheed a chance in the next at the Curragh at 25/1 ew on Paddy Power. Don't think Churchill has beaten much and Mehmas is stepping up from an easy 6f to a stiff 7f on slower ground which I don't think will suit. Psychedelic Funk looks like one of those early season 2 year olds who won't progress so the in form Haggas looks a bit of value to spring a shock.

    Mr Scaramanga 17-2 5.25

Ran run in better company than all of these. At 17-2 with 4 place PP I like it,

    2pts ew 17-2

Madam Prancealot in this, for no other reason that's it's 100/1.
A 4th place will do, to boost the daily e/w accumulator.
A big field so just a sprinkle of a few cautious pennies.

It looked awful. He looks like he's carrying an injury.

Ted Walsh can't seem to put together a sentence without mentioning ****ing national hunt horses. This is meant to be Ireland's premier flat meeting.

And he was spouting some rubbish that if Simenon was in the race he would've hacked up. Simenon's last run was in a 3 mile hurdle at Roscommon where he was last of 4, beaten 30 lengths.

Jesus I hope Aiden was on Wicklow Brave or he'll be suicidal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 282 ✭✭uxiant

Apart from his Irish Leger win where he ran to an RPR of 125 Order Of St George hasn't really done much at all including when beating a poor bunch of stayers in the Gold Cup. That 11L win last year is starting to look a bit of an anomaly and although that wasn't Ryan's finest hour maybe he's just not as good as people make him out to be. No wonder Aidan never dropped him to 12f and looked towards the Arc. He'd get stuffed.

    Yea
I like LetMeStopYouRightThere at 40-1 too
Has potential. I hope I don't regret not going for it.

    Terrible ride from Colin keane
Best horse in the race and he holds him up behind 28 horses

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,745 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Not a place.

Thought it came 4th, but it was the other Madam 'Bounska' 66/1 that came 4th instead.
Ah well time to look at the golf instead to see if anyone can knock DJ off the top of the leaderboard.

Wicklow Brave (gelding, above average national hunt horse) at 7 wins a classic.

4 runners also - poor turnout.

I wouldnt really agree there, i was away and missed all the racing, but after watching that , moore was only 3 lengths down and started his run. The horse just wasnt as good as he would have expected, and frankie had left enough on wicklow brave for a nice burst of speed 2 out.

Wicklow has his best trip there for sure and probably improved for front running, but if Order was the horse we though he was hed be winning easily from that position.

Yeah OOSG looked a bit of a dodgepot in the last few furlongs, looked to me like he was trying to lug in behind the winner on a couple of occasions. Wasn't there a strong headwind in the home straight, maybe that was the reason for him doing it? Never saw it before from the horse.

No its not a classic and shouldn't be referred to as such.
