Regardless of the result, we deserve to lose for that jersey.

jersey could be the winning of the game given the glare of the sun off it. Glasgow players will need sunglasses

Didn't realise the back of the Leinster jersey was yellow. It's hideous. Could live with it if it was the grey colour on the back.

Really good phase play before Murphy forces a speculative pass after a good carry. Can't be leaving the Glasgow 22 so softly or we're in for a long afternoon.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,937 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Did Murphy even look before throwing that?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Blatant offside. Glasgow player kicks the ball from a yard behind the ruck into his own man in the ruck.

Yeah, but we got Lacey reffing, not Owens, sadly.

A tackle breaking winger really is such an asset.

we barely have tackle breaking forwards

You don't need Nigel Owens to know a ball into your own man and then collecting it is offside. He can't even claim he didn't see it as he called play on as it wasn't a knock on.

Good try. Punched Leinster back through the middle and we were always scrambling. Great passing to move it wide quickly as we were pushing up hard.

From the back, it looks like Leinster are playing in high-vis vests.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Poor direction to give that to Reid but he should have had the sense to come back in.

We've actually made a lot of half breaks.

Forwards are carrying and handling the ball excellently, I think.

I didn't think it started until 3.30 so when I switched on 5 minutes ago I thought it was lads out wearing training bibs.

    Why wouldnt Carbery?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Don't think that was knocked forward at all.

He didn't last week. I assume he will now though with McFadden not playing.

Ill never understand how someone signed off on that jersey. Its horrific.

Carberry according to Sky Sports earlier.

That turnover is a penalty for not releasing. So frustrating.

    It is.

Be a shame if the white change strip is canned. Seems odd to have to essentially dark gears.

    Great score

    Super touch conversion, question answered

yes for kurt mcquilkin who left last month to go home for family health issues

Ah nice there by both Kearneys.

And what a conversion from Carberry!

Nice try, awful missed tackle by Glasgow there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,805 ✭✭✭Swan Curry

i don't want to pile a load of hype on carberry but he makes it difficult not to

I didn't understand that. The guy tackles. They're both on the ground and then the ball is ripped by the tackler, on the deck. It's laws 101.

Good try anyway. Murphy has picked some lovely lines and was patient that time.

Tasty conversion from the young lad.

Great try, superb power from Kearney. Carberry having a stormer, Jordi Murphy and VDF both having great games as is McCarthy.

Entertaining game so far, Glasgow have so much class.

Edit: great try from Glasgow, stuff coaches love, soak a score and go back up the pitch and return the favor.

what a start to the season and professional career for Carberry. unbelievable stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,507 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Aargh, frustrating. Great structure and discipline from the Warriors

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Anybody care to explain to Lacey that you can't offload the ball to someone standing in front of you!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Glasgow are really impressive. That was an excellent try.

Poor concentration on the restart is punished. Sloppy and Glasgow don't need a second invite.

  • Registered Users Posts: 413 ✭✭mr. pleasant

and glasgow sure make scoring tries look easy. so comfortable near the line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

I'm delighted with the way McCarthy is going today.

As long as nobody starts calling for him to be in the starting 15 against New Zealand we'll be alright.

Again, ruck infringements in the red zone

As long as nobody starts calling for him to be in the starting 15 against New Zealand we'll be alright.

He's still number 4 best outhalf available to Joe Schmidt. Madigan out of contention makes him 3. Bit of a farce that that is the case but there you go.

One would wonder - with Madigan away, who is 3rd choice right now? Wouldn't be terribly surprising to see him bench against Italy in the 6N.

Probably a conversation for another thread but based on 1.5 games you'd put him ahead of Keatley and Carty?
