    Hi,

Anyone up at the Guinness lake recently? Is the coffee van still there? I'm thinking of a spin up that way this weekend.

    cheers
    J

At the very top of the climb up from the R759 , when heading in Sally gap direction from Roundwood.

just in off the road then? You'd need a coffee or tea after that climb from Roundwood, its murder.

Yeah it's a brutal climb, just when you think you're at the top, you round a corner and there's a bloody wall like climb in front of you.

Did it very early in the year with sod all training and I felt about 80 years of age, it was a miracle I got to the top without walking.

Yeah it wouldn't be uncommon to see alot of cyclists dismount. I've gone up it a few times and I still get passed by like i'm standing still!

Anyone who can mother up that has a serious engine on them.
I'd say 90% of people can manage 10-11kmph average on it at best.
